“Really nice guesthouse with welcoming hosts”

A really lovely location overlooking the river with a great balcaony and hammock. The room was very comfortable, quiet and spacious. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with a nice daytime restaurant just across the road. Highly recommended.

Great location on the water with sunset views and comfy hammocks on the generous deck. Our hosts were most accommodating and we enjoyed the cycling around both islands.

This is the first hotel where we truly had enough space to store all our belongings, which was very much appreciated. The small private terrace overlooking the river, with two hammocks, is a real plus and perfect for relaxing. Finally, the bike rental available directly on site is very convenient for exploring the surroundings.

We loved our stay at Dokchampa Guesthouse. Excellent location and a beautiful view from your room. Very friendly and helpful owners! We also rented a bicycle to explore the islands.

“Sometimes being away from everything makes life harder than it needs to be...”

The room itself was big and spacious... the hammock is a nice idea but mosquitoes are of course a small concern...

“Good location and nice views”

Location was great and the views over the Mekong from the balcony were great. It was raining a lot so we didn't get to see much in the way of sunsets which was disappointing but that's just the time of year unfortunately. No food was being served as the restaurant was shut so we didn't get to try any food. The hired bikes from the hotel were good quality and reasonably priced. Bed was comfortable (although still quite hard) and two pillows each were provided. It was nice to have a fridge and kettle in the room. Aircon and WiFi both worked very well.

“It offered the experience of Mekong river at its full.”

That was a pleasant stay, just on the bord of Mekong. Staff made the difference, very helpful, friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend the place primarily for the hospitality of the staff.

Nothing to dislike! This is a very nice place to stay with wonderful staff and decent food. We really enjoyed the views from the hammocks and the bed was very comfortable. AC in room was effective. Nice quiet location. One of our favourite places with have stayed in SEA.

“Peaceful and relaxing”

Our room was very spacious and clean, with the most amazing balcony right on the river, complete with hammocks. Watching the sunset from our balcony each evening was truly delightful. The island is really quiet but has plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We hired bicycles at the guesthouse and visited 2 fabulous waterfalls and Don Khon's busier neighbour Don Det. The staff were always friendly and helpful and arranged our onwards journey right from our balcony! We loved our stay here and would love to return.

“Sunsets, river life and fabulous family”

Fabulous family owners who picked us up at the ferry and helped to organise our travel to the island. Spacious rooms with large balcony and hammocks to relax and watch river life and incredible sunsets. Right on the water. Had own boat and very easy to organise bikes for the day and other local tours. Family spoke good English. Food was good quality and we felt the best on Don Khone but didn’t serve dinner. Very close to shops and restaurants.

Extremely spacious room with balcony with a direct view of the Mekong. Quiet location, comfortable bed, plenty of storage space and shelves. Lovely host couple who do a professional job.
