I loved how clean it was and how easy everything was. The hostes Amor was incredible sweet and helpful! The airconditioning was on a nice temperature.

Amor was super welcoming and helpful, she helped us get a Sim card, a ticket for the slow boat and a ride from the hotel to the pier. The beds were comfortable and the place was super clean and organised

“Outstanding hostel”

This is an exceptional hostel. I wish they were all over SE Asia. They know exactly what a hostel should have. It's a 15 minute walk from the pier and nearby all the restaurants. The hostel is very clean and comfortable. There is a communal space at the front where they serve breakfast. The hostel is made up of two rooms with four beds in each. The beds are soooo comfortable and they've really thought about everything for travellers including individual lights and sockets. The Aircon is brilliant and they have a dehumidifier (which everywhere should have!). The shower and toilet space is kept very clean as well. The thing that makes this hostel outstanding is the service. We were travelling from Huay Xai to Chiang Rai the next day and they helped us book it all for a great price. I cannot recommend this more. You get picked up from the hostel, driven to the Laos passport control, they will help you through and give you a ticket for the bus to cross the border. Arriving at the Thai border you go through passport control and then are greeted by your driver. It's very smooth. You can even get to Chiang Mai if you want.

Nice small hostel, surrounded by restaurants. The hostel itself offered a lot of services: reservation fro slow boat (including luxury options), sim card, breakfast, and much more. Amor was kind and helpful. Would highly recommend this hostel!

“Amazing!”

The lady from the little hostel was absolutely amazing. She was very helpful and friendly with not only my stay there, but also with helping us with our simcards, renting a headlight for The Gibbon Experience and booking a transfer to Luang Prababang. When we left for our transfer she also made sure we got the best seats in the van and that we had breakfast (very nice sandwiches!) before leaving very early at around 7. She also gave us a whole bag of cookies for on the road and put in a little note wishing us save travels. Absolutely the only possible place you should stay when visitint Houay Xay!

Two dorms with 4 beds, a terrace to drink a few beers and have breakfast, and the kindest host of the city ! Thank you for everything Amor, you're the best. I will definitely come back :)

The best hostel host i have ever met. She is so kind, she helped me with a lot of things (simcard, train tickets, food to go etc.) and was always so sweet. It feels very personal and I would highly recommend. The beds are comfortable, the location is perfect, the shower is warm, the food is amazing!!

Amazing owner, even for Laos. She does everything she can to make your time in Houayxay as smooth as possible, renting you equipment, organising transport, making packed lunches, etc. Location could not have been better, right next to The Gibbon Experience and she will keep your luggage safe for you. The hostel was also really comfortable and clean. Will definitely use again if I get the opportunity.

“A lovely little place to spend a night or more”

A lovely little place to spend a night or more! I stayed here two nights and had a really good sleep both nights. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm. Common area is good to meet others. I like it that rooms are smaller with only 4 beds in each but still have space to put your bags and all. Bed was comfy enough and curtains thick so you will have private space when sleeping. Location is excellent, just in the small center. Amor was really helpful with all my questions of coming there and also booked my further trip to Thailand. I enjoyed my time there very much! Thank you <3

the host amor was the best, very attentive and helpful. bag storage was perfect. good wifi, comfortable common room. comfy bed, nice curtains, good shower. everything was clean and well managed. takeaway sandwich as well as breakfast there really delicious. free drinking water. hair dryer in the room. location close to gibbon and port. really good hostel!!

I felt already at home when i made my first step into little hostel! Amor is such a kind person. She helps with everything if it is sim-card, booking tickets,doing lunchbox for early-leaving! It was the best start in Laos for me to stay at little hostel
