We booked a river view room. When we checked in they tried to put us in a unit that we would classify as garden view as it faced toward the garden and office and had another unit between us and the river. After some discussion we were moved to what they said was a family unit which faced directly towards the river. Nice pool. Great breakfast.

Best Homestay. Pan was so amazing with correspondence and helped us get fuel. The rooms were big and super comfy. So clean. Right on the river with heaps of restaurants around. Breakfast was great as well. A definate 10 ou of 10. We stayed an extra night because it was so great. Thank you

“best place to stay on Don Khone”

stayed 7 nights here, loved every minute. Rooms clean, beds comfortsble. both fan and a/c, rooms equipped with a small fridge. Refillable water, bus tickets bookable at reception. Free breakfast great, hot baguette bread, butter and jam, a variety of eggs, fresh fruit and banana pancakes along with Laos coffee and tea. And the pool... Also location great, 2 min walk from Don Khone pier. Bike rental available next door. lots of places to eat nearby, short walk away. Honestly, for the price and what you get for it, its a great deal.

Charming hostess, who helped us take bus tickets, boat trip and easy bicycles rental. Great buffet breakfast with pancakes, eggs, bread, fruits, juices and hot drinks, that was even offered to us ! Card is accepted with 3% charges. The room has AC, a noisy fan, mosquito net and private bathroom. It's in the village, so animals and bikes are active early in the morning. Nice swimming pool with a beautiful view on the river!

The hosts were fantastic! Pool, location everything was perfect for us! We loved the breakfasts made by Mrs Pan and her exceptional Laotian coffee!! The location was great Don Khron is right next to Don Det Island and you can easily cycle to it over the French Bridge to visit. Don Khron also has sites such as rapids, zip lines etc. There are a good few restaurants with walking or cycling distance.

The guesthouse is in a great location. The pool was so lovely to have after a day of exploring the islands. The best part of the stay was the hospitality of the staff. So helpful during our stay (e.g helping us with bikes) and with organising our onward travel (even dropping us off to the port). Also close to so many great restaurants.

“It's not luxurious but I liked it”

Great location - we hired bikes and explored both islands in one day. The first impressions were not great - the room was dark and sparsley furnished but we got to like the place. The pool was a welcome relief in the hot afternoon and the hammock on our terrace was relaxing. Breakfast was adequate and was served on the terrace overlooking the Mekong. They accepted credit cards and arranged our onward transport to Pakse.

Beautiful little river side bungalows with the best sunset views, Pan was lovely and really helpful. Breakfast which was included was really nice

The fresque fruits and homemade crêpes are delicious for breakfast in front of the river. The swimming-pool is great after bicycling on this wonderful island. Rooms and staff are great too.

Electrics not well planned - no light switch near the bed
