Overview
Nestled on a private estate of over 1,000 acres in the picturesque Irish countryside, Temple House is a luxury Georgian mansion with views of a 13th-century lakeside castle of the Knights Templar. Guests benefit from free Wi-Fi, free parking, and easy access to outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and golf. Each room boasts luxury furniture and décor, free toiletries, and tea and coffee making facilities. Rooms have an en suite bathroom or an external private bathroom. Some rooms also have original features and canopy beds. Breakfast and dinner are served in the elegant dining room. A hearty breakfast is cooked to order and it is made of locally sourced ingredients; the dinner menu sometimes features lamb from the on-site sheep farm. A four course dinner is available Monday to Saturday for an additional price. Specific dietary needs are also catered for. Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetery is 20 km away and Eagles Flying and Raptor Centre is located a 5-minute drive from the mansion. Temple House is 1km off the N17 and Sligo is an 18-minute drive away. Knock Airport is 30 minutes’ drive from the property.

This is a very special place to stay. The house and rooms are enormous and the breakfasts are excellent. Despite being so large, there is a nice informal feel to the place and we could come and go as we pleased. Roderick is a charming host.

“A hidden gem. An absolute must if you haven't stayed here before.”
This was our first time staying at Temple House. We could not believe our luck when we arrived. The room was stunning and the decor within the building was stunning. We can't wait to come and stay again and especially to enjoy the dining experience.

“Wonderful country house experience”
Beautiful, authentic Country House, comfortable accommodation and excellent food ( we had breakfast and dinner). The location tranquil with lake, woodland and pasture views. Beautiful walks around the estate. Our host Roderick Perceval was wonderfully helpful and gracious. I would highly recommend and will be back !

We have stayed in a lot of properties around Ireland ... but Temple offered a unique experience , it's so tranquil and peaceful which is hard to find . This combined with with friendly service, comfort and great food ! I highly recommend this property 🌟🌟🌟🌟
