Brand new, clean, and perfect view.. At nights able to see auroras… Is like a poster and the view is amazing. Recommend this place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Modern Fisherman’s Cabin. What a lovely, modern, sparkling clean apartment with beautiful waterfront views overlooking the harbour, rorbuers and nearby peaks. The apartment is spacious, very quiet, beds really comfy and it’s equipped with everything you need to relax, cook and wash your clothes if needed. There’s a small supermarket in the little village or a larger option just five minutes away. Lars is friendly and easy to communicate with and responds immediately if you have any questions. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending The Modern Fisherman’s Cabin and would definitely choose to stay there again myself.

Amazing! The cabin is perfect. It may say cabin in the description but the apartment is huge and luxurious. Comes with everything you need and all the extras you’d wish in a holiday, inc a complete kitchen, washer. They also have a space to hung dry your clothes so it is just perfect. But the views tops it all up. The cabin is right in front of the dock with full views of the water and the mountains. It is very serene and all you can hear are just the birds and nature. As per the location it was also so convenient, right in the middle of Lofoten Islands so you can make this as tour base and drive to either ends in just 1hr. If there’s anything I could change, I wished we stayed longer.. but maybe next time and hopefully soon.

Perfect equipped and very tidy with a beautiful view to the harbor and mountains. Loved everything in this cabin. The lessor (Lars Konrad) was always a great help to provide immediate suggestions. Unfortunately we never met him in person to thank him.

“Gorgeous and comfortable hub for exploring Lofoten”

Stunning location with very modern facilities inside. We had a really warm, comfortable, and secure stay with everything we needed. There is a gorgeous hiking area a stone’s throw away that is very easy and accessible (and a harder one too!). The view and decking are is gorgeous with lots of bird life, grey herons are one of my favourites so I really appreciated seeing them hang out on the rocks each morning! Bus stop right outside, just a 20-30min journey to Leknes where you can get buses further out - very useful for us as we had a problem with our hire car. I don’t think Lofoten shouts about how brilliant its bus service is for tourists, we would have been stuck without us, and the bus back to Ballstad even waited for us when out other one back from Svolvær was late getting in - not something that would happen back home!

“Wonderful”

All wonderful & perfect location. Well equipped and beautifully designed and furnished. Loved the decking and so quiet. Brilliant hikes so nearby . Really made our trip to Lofoten and would highly recommend . Would recommend The Bacalou (fish stew) at Joker store. It is stunning is home made at local Fish shop .

Gorgeous spacious apartment with fabulous view over the bay and mountains. Kitchen is well stocked for self catering though a few items missing. Huge bathroom with washing machine. Good internet. Great location from which to explore the Lofotens. Very responsive host.

The modern fisherman cabin was very comfortable situated on the waterfront in Ballstad. We enjoyed the fact that everything was new and clean and its location allowed us to travel fairly short distances to all the areas of Lofoten without moving house.

The best accommodation on our trip to Lofoten! Beautiful location, amazing panoramic windows with a view over Ballstad, incredibly clean (so that you understand - the keys were sterilized upon our arrival) and very comfortable till every single detail. The kitchen had all the needed utilities but also everything is new and of good quality. The communication was also very friendly and every single issue (we forgot something) was figured out quickly. I wish we stayed here longer!
