Very stylish and modern. Close to clubs and shops. Great walking track along the river. Beds were super comfy!!

Balun Cottage is only small in size but just packed with thoughtful features. Everything we thought of that we considered bringing with us was already there, even little things like Glad Wrap, extra loo paper, etc. And even though the cottage is sort of in "suburbia" the neighbours are extremely quiet and mostly when we were there, all we heard was birdsong and the wind in the trees. And it's a short, flat walk from the local Ballina Fair shopping centre, the RSL club, etc. But the best thing about our stay was that when the Internet stopped working due to an unavoidable technical issue after only one of our four day stay, the owner stopped by with a gift to compensate for the inconvenience. That was so thoughtful and unexpected!
