Overview
This beautiful and historic castle is set within 1,000 acres of woodland. On the banks of the River Moy, it boasts a restaurant made from the remains of a 17th-century Spanish galleon. With stunning views of the forest and castle garden, each spacious room is elegant and richly furnished. Rooms include a private bathroom with complimentary toiletries, free Wi-Fi, and tea/coffee facilities. Plasma-screen TVs are available on request. Granuailes Candlelight Grill Room serves fresh country house cuisine, with Connemara lamb and steak flambéed at the table. The Tween Decks provides fantastic, 17th-century nautical decor, and the Armada Bar is built from the salvaged, 400-year old wood of shipwrecked Spanish ships. Guests can enjoy the 13th-century Norman fireplace of the Great Hall, or relax in front of the many open fires throughout the castle, with its suits of armour and numerous antiques. There is a large, secure parking area, and Knock Airport can be reached in 35 minutes by car. Lough Conn is 20 minutes’ drive away, and the centre of Ballina is just a 5-minute drive away.

“We absolutely loved our stay at the castle”
The castle was beautiful and it was very interesting seeing all the different areas inside. We loved our room and the bed was comfortable. The staff were all so helpful, we enjoyed talking yo them. Our dinner was delicious we all enjoyed what we ordered.

“Fabulous castle stay”
We are just home after a lovely weekend in Belleek castle it is the nicest place we have ever stayed. We loved everything about it. Beautiful castle and castle grounds. Very friendly and helpful staff. The best dinner and breakfast 😋 food was superb 👌 we will definitely be back.

“Unique castle and surroundings.”
This was our third possibly fourth visit to the castle over a twenty year period and yet again it does not disappoint. Food was great, location perfect, castle unique and staff service on point. Have to give the Sunday night bar person a shout out for excellent service.

“Good castle experience but a little TLC needed.”
Both restaurants were very good, food was fantastic, choice was good and atmosphere relaxed. Thoroughly recommend The Library Restaurant. Our room (room 4) was very nice, spacious, clean and comfortable, and fitted in with the castle theme.

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay. All the staff, especially Stephen the manager, really engaged with all the guests, even putting the Ireland football match on for us. The tour of the castle was excellent, and well worth doing. The bar was really lovely (pint of Guinness was 10/10), the restaurant and food was out of this world, the restaurant staff were extremely friendly, and the breakfast at Jack Fenns was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back again.

“Exceptional hotel.”
Wonderful hotel. Loved the authenticity, architecture, decor, antiquity. Room very comfortable, complete with four poster bed. Evening meal in the Library was exceptional. Breakfast in Jack Fenn's reintroduced us to the 21st Century, but was no less acceptable. All in all a lovely experience, to be repeated soon again.

“Fabulous atmospheric stay.”
Loved the decor and atmosphere, truly an historical experience. The comfort of the bar lounge area was wonderful. When you walked into reception you were transported in time and greeted with smiles and curtesy.
