Perfect setting for relaxing, we’ll equipped and comfortable cottage, as we like fishing it has its own lake, surrounded by the passing river, the hedgerows and trees full of birds, an oasis of nature. Taunya and Brian were excellent hosts, great company, readily available with advice on where to go and what to for a day or an evening out.

Everything. Taunya & Brien were very warm and Inviting. Nothing was a problem. Taunya took us to nearby lakes with beaches. So beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay. Did not want to leave.

this property is beside a beautiful lake with a river running right next to the gite. the accommodation had everything we needed and was perfect for us. our hosts Taunya and Brian were fantastic. we had brilliant conversations and we were invited for an evening with the hosts which we truly enjoyed. nothing was an issue for the hosts and they were on hand to answer or supply anything we requested. we arrived after a long journey to a beautiful unexpected gift of fresh bread, selection of cheeses, butter and milk and a beautiful bottle of wine. to us it was such a wonderful sight as it left us not having to try find food for the night as we got in pretty late. I highly recommend a stay at Taunya and Brians place you certainly won’t be disappointed.

“Relaxing beautiful setting”

Location was beautiful and hosts very welcoming and friendly. Everything provided - towels, iron, ironing board, hairdryer and all kitchen gadgets etc. Nice little welcome pack on arrival included wine, cheese, bread and butter

it was a lovely setting by their own lake full of koi carp , lovely to watch at feeding time . good central point for site seeing River cottage is perfectly placed between the river and the lake , great for bird watching . see you again soon Steve and Ruth

“Peacefully and calm”

The location is amazing, if you're looking for a place to be away from the city and people, this is the one. It's a quite and peacefull place with a beautiful lake and nice little river. Btw the lake is full of Koï fishes and when they feed them it's super cool (24 year old girl) to see them swimming and eating. When we woke up we made some coffee and sat at the lake with the sound of the birds and the river. It's also really nice to spot birds, we saw small one's and two really big one's, it was for me an idyllic place. The two hosts were really friendly and open and gave us all the privacy. Oh and they have a nice pool even though it was not so warm the time we were there we didn't hesitated to take a swim.

Beautiful place, loads of wildlife to see, clean, comfortable, nothing was to much trouble, lovely couple , would definitely do it again.

The quietness and the location is perfect after a working day
