We travelled to Stanthorpe/Ballandean to hike Girraween Nationa Park, so the location was ideal for us. We never actually met our hosts, but they did provide plenty of information to support our visit, including attractions in the surrounding area. If needed, I'm sure a quick phone call or text would have sorted any problems. We stayed in rustic Rose Cottage. There was a great fireplace and lots of firewood provided, which was fortunate as we had to hunker down for a day due to heavy rain. I have to say that we have done a lot of travelling throughout Australia, and Rose Cottage has been the best at providing everything we could possibly need...from paper towel in the kitchen to an emergency/first aid kit. While the cottage is not large, there is ample room for two people. The hosts are well organised and I suggest the property (A Stanthorpe Getaway) would be excellent for a group stay, either in the farmhouse or one of the yurts.

The location was very quiet and spacious for our needs. The farmhouse was well appointed with plenty of blankets for beds and accessories in the kitchen.

Location was excellent for Ballendean, close to the only functioning eatery in town, and walk to general store and The Church wine project. Really comfortable, with all the amenities that you need. Gardens on-site were lovely.

The location was good as well as the accomodation. It’s a quiet place.

We were a group of 8 adults and 5 children. The stay had everything you would need for a holiday. Good beds, linen and towels. Plenty of cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses. Games for kids and adults, TV, fireplace and piano. Multiple lounges and chairs in the lounge room. Heaps of outdoor settings front and back.

What a fantastic little find this home was. The property was so clean and very well equipped for our large group. It was great to be able to walk across the road to the tavern/pub for a meal.

The house was clean, tidy and had everything you could possibly need. The beds were comfortable and the showers had great water pressure. The property was central to many attractions.

Very cosy space, great cooking facilities or super close to the pub for a meal. Host is super responsive, had a brief issue with the hot water system as it was the first very cold week, it was actioned immediately and sorted within the hour.

Loved the location. Walking distance to local county pub and pop up wine tasting. Along the same road, easy access to many of the local wineries. Not far to drive to Giraween National Park as we wanted to do the hikes there. Loved the Yurt, much more roomier than one would think. Look forward to going back and would stay here again.

It was a really lovely place to go and catch up with family. Only a 200m walk to the local pub and lots of room out the back for the kids to play.

The wildlife and scenic views. The sunsets were amazing. Loved the large lounge. Plenty of outdoor space for our family of 8 to enjoy peace and quiet. Bed linen was excellent. It was great to walk to the Ballandean Pub for New Year's Eve. The pie shop was excellent with the best pies ever. The local store and pharmacy were also convenient.

Very nice cottage with everything you would need for a enjoyable stay. A pleasant side verandah to relax and put your feet up. Well equipped kitchen.
