Overview
Set on an estate in the Winterberg Mountains, Katberg Hotel offers bright rooms with views of the landscaped gardens. It has an 18-hole golf course and a spa with private treatment rooms. Katberg Hotel & Eco Golf Estate also has a private game reserve and a horse riding centre. Guests can play a game of squash or swim in the outdoor pool. There is a playground for younger guests. The rooms are decorated in soft colours and plush carpeted floors. Each has a private bathroom and a seating area with a satellite TV. Free Wi-Fi is available. Guests can rent bikes and cycle around the 400-hectare estate. Several shops are on site, including a gift shop.

When we got to our room, there was obviously something that happened on the carpet as there was a fan directed on a wet carpet. There are very limited plates and no containers for meat if you have had a braai or any bowels for salad or anything like that.

“Tranquil and peaceful”
The 3-bedroom villa allocated to us was HUGE! We loved the tranquility and views over the golf course. The unit was well equipped. Perfect for golfers and non-golfers.

The place is spacious and set in beautiful natural surroundings. The golf course is well taken care of and adds to the peaceful atmosphere. The staff were helpful and friendly, which made our stay enjoyable.

I spoiled hubby for his birthday with a night away at Katberg Golf Estate as it was his dream to go one day. The Villa was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed. It was incredibly peaceful and made us enjoy our time together too. The golf course itself was fantastic and so well maintained, even for the size considering how vast it is. The staff were super friendly and so accommodating. We even got introduced to the beautiful horses on the estate. This is definitely one of the best places we have ever been to and will definitely love to visit again in the near future.
