“Go here, you’ll love it”
It was just perfect. The owner helped us park our motorbikes in the best place and then gave us a room in the hotel where we could quickly bring in our panniers. Staff were brilliant. Beautiful location with a unique wooden church that told a love story beside the hotel

Very close walk from the ferry. A bit uphill but the views are stunning. Good breakfast. Very friendly helpful staff. We left our bags till the afternoon ferry to Bergen there.

“A homely hotel in a perfect location in the pretty village of Balestrand.”
It was like going back in time to the 70’s or 80’s but in a good way. It is the antithesis of modern corporate hotels. The host was very helpful in suggesting places to eat in the evening. The location is excellent and the room was spacious with a settee, balcony and plenty of room for your stuff.

The owner is very personable and ready to answer questions or just chat. The hotel is a bit like a bed and breakfast, very cozy and relaxed vibe. It also has its own little bathing spot on the water, and really a very nice stay at a locally-owned small hotel.
