Location is perfection, staff all super nice, breakfast was pleasant with great view, would definitely be back

“Pleasant stay in Balatonfüred”

It was our first stay at Golden Lake, but not the last. Kind and helpful staff, comfortable and clean room. Breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. Wellness area was nice although we did not have a lot of time to enjoy. Next time we plan to stay more!

The location- by the lake in a lovely, small town. Standing in the jacuzzi and listening to the toads snd birds calling - magical. The massages in the spa were good. Food was good. At this time of year, nice and quiet - before half-term.

Nice indoor and outdoor pools, suitable for toddlers, Little playground with toys. Breakfast with good cold and hot options, Most of the staff very friendly. Comfortable beds, spacious room.

Perfect location, with a nice pool area. The reception staff were excellent. Our room was a good size with a view of the lake and nice terrace.

The location is just perfect although the beach itself is full with reed and you don't have direct access to Balaton (for us it was not relevant as we did not want to go in anyway). The food is incredibly delicious, in fact it was one of the best I've ever experienced in this category.

Very clean and modern hotel in the new centrum of town. Personal very friendly, rooms are quite big and modern. A very good breakfast!

“Pleasant lakeside hotel with balcony views and a solid spa”

We had a room with the lake view. The lake, dotted with yachts and boats both sailing and at rest, offers an especially picturesque scene. The balcony is large and functional—good for yoga-ing, sitting with a book, a drink, or getting some work done while looking out. Spa facilities include several heated pools (varying temperatures, hydromassage), an outdoor jacuzzi (with shorter opening hours), a steam room, and a sauna. Most staff were very friendly. Since we don't speak Hungarian, day-to-day interactions were primarily in German, with English less common. Very good buffet breakfast; pleasant outdoor seating, though limited and frequently full.

The room looked very good, everything was super clean. The staff was helpful, we enjoyed the indoor pool. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was really good, wide variety of choices and eveything was fresh and tasty.

Our first room was right above a restaurant with live music every day from 19:30 till 22:00 (and a bit longer). It felt as if we were sitting next to the loudspeakers - even though the windows were closed. The night guard was SUPER HELPFUL and gave us another room which wasn’t quiet but was much better. Hotel generally looked way better on the photos than in reality. Note too that it’s smack in the middle of the pedestrian zone of the town, where lots of people go out in the evening. If you want something quiet - this isn’t the place. The wellness feels rather dated. The sauna was out of order and so was the elevator - the latter was repaired after 3-4 days. The staff is overall very nice and helpful.
