“Perfect in every way”

What a wonderful holiday home! This is a very stylish and well cared for semi-detached house with three large separate bedrooms, very comfy beds, good quality modern furnishing and two lovely bathrooms. One bathroom has a large bath. There is also an upstairs terrace and a large hallway with another sofa bed. We used the downstairs terrace in front of the kitchen all the time as it is very cleverly constructed and is always in the shade. The house itself remained a pleasant temperature even though it was above 30C outside, thanks to the a/c which managed to cool the whole house when keeping the doors shut. Downstairs the kitchen was large and well equipped, the owner has though of everything you might need (for instance, Miele oven and dishwasher, two coffee machines - one for capsules and one filter, many many pans, cutlery, glasses, etc). In terms of location it is about 5-10 mins walk from the sea shore. We were with bikes, the house is slightly uphill from the shore but this is not a problem. The closest beach is 10 mins walk away/3-4 mins by bike. We preferred the beach in Kaptalanfured about 2 km away. The garden is all for your own usage as the owner, who lives next door, spends her time elsewhere. By the way another reviewer here said the owner does not speak anything apart from Hungarian but this is not true - she speaks near perfect German. We were very excited about the table tennis and we used it a lot. There is also a BBQ at your disposal. Before we went I chose the location without knowing Balaton but I can say we were in a very nice upmarket area (for instance we visited Sofiok and we found it too touristy). We were able to cycle in both directions along the bike path and clocked up 300 km in one week.
