“A Perfect Gem”

The Villa Carla is an absolute gem! The Villa is beautiful and only has 4 rooms. It is set on a truly magnificent beach - a long stretch of sand, fringed by palm trees and not a soul to be seen apart from guests of the Villa Carla. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with a really comfortable bed. Breakfast, and any other meals you require, are served on your own private terrace. The Chef is brilliant so you probably won't want to eat anywhere else! However, my greatest thanks is to Nisanta ( probably spelt wrong) who is an absolute Mr Fix It. Nothing is too much trouble - ask him to book you on the Madu River Safari - do not even bother with trying to book it yourself. I am so glad we found Villa Carla - fantastic memories - we WILL return ❤️

The location is great, the staff is super friendly, responsive and helpful. The rooms is spacious enough for 2 persons. Very good spot for budget travelers

“Kao u raju”

Nas boravak u Villi Carla je bio poseban. Uzivali smo u svakom trenutku. Lokacija, sobe, bazen... sve je i vise nego odlicno. A najbolje od svega je osoblje. Paze vas i brinu se za vas 24 sata. Dorucak se servira svakom posebno, kada zeli i sta izabere ( engleski ili srilankanski). Mozete naruciti obrok iz jelovnika i pripreme ga u tacno odredjeno vrijeme. Hrana je bas kvalitetna i nije preskupa. Mi smo docekali i Novu godinu uz vatromet na plazi. I bilo je prelijepo. Zaista sve preporuke. Dodjite i uzivajte.

“Nice place”

The Chef is great, the food he serves is too good. The property is on a totally secluded beach where you see almost no one. So if you are looking for a quiet and a comfortable holiday then this is the place.

“Lovely place to relax right at a beautiful, empty beach”

Lovely villa right behind a beautiful, lonely sandy beach - there’s comfy sun beds and only the villa guests in the beach. Perfect for enjoying the sunset! The rooms are spacious with really good showers. Each room has an own terrace where breakfast is served individually. We got amazing traditional Sri Lankian breakfast with String Hoppers, Curry, Dhal, Pol Sambol, fresh fruits, juice and Ceylon tea. Super delicious! And the staff is exceptional - one day they even started playing music from our home country in the morning, so much fun :)

“Lovely place on the beach, highly recommended”

The property which is set on the beach is spotless and very well maintained, it’s a lovely oasis. The beach is clean and the pool is a lovely temperature. Eating breakfast on our terrace was a lovely start to the day. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra 3 days. We visited the turtle hatchery that’s around 15 minutes drive away, highly recommended. There’s not a lot to do in the evening but we found a bar/ restaurant by the river, a BBQ truck up the other end of the street and Asian restaurant and of course the Wine Shop ( the only lace you can buy alcohol apart from a bar ). This place will take some beating.

There were some waves but you can swim or you can use a nice pool as well. The staff was so kind and helpful. The breakfast was great they brought a table for us and we had it in front of our room in the garden while listening the sounds of the ocean. There were shops, pharmacy, restaurants nearby. Looking forward to be there next time.

“Paradise just outside”

The place was immaculately clean both the room and the well maintained gardens and pool. The real star is the beach. Its an absolute paradise and its deserted. I've never seen anywhere so beautiful. Lots of wildlife around.

Cool hotel! Private beach with sunbeds. Very friendly staff and delicious food. I also recommend their new hotel "Villa Pantano" (same owner) completely new equipment, renovation and private closed area. Liked very much.

We stayed at Villa Carla for 17 nights, everything was great! Very nice staff, many thanks to them! For people who like a relaxing holiday without fuss and noise. We will come back here again!

I like the LOCATION and the beach, best where i saw at Sri Lanka, great clean and empty! We come back there more times! It's a lovely place with a great personal chief and food, who cooking delicious! and great butler!

Lovely staff and very comfortable room; thank you! The beach was gorgeous (but a bit eerily quiet). If the staff weren’t so cheerful and always around I’d have found it a little too quiet for my liking, but thanks to the staff being around and nice it was great!

“Heaven in Sri Lanka”

Villa Carla is a gem. The hotel is right in front of the beach and has only a few rooms, each It’s beautifully decorated by the owners. The staff is great, always super helpful and very discreet. The beach in front of the hotel is one of the best we’ve seen in Sri Lanka! We only stayed at Villa Carla for three days. This is a place where to spend and relax for at least a week! We hope to Come back soon!
