Wash room space

The room was beautiful and the bed soo big and comfortable! The breakfast was also very good. The location was medium, close to the big road with not so many restaurants around . Good for a stopover. The biggest waterfall was close by. The owner was cute!

Great home stay with a very friendly owner. It‘s very simple but extremely cosy house. The owner is very supportive and helpful. It‘s necessary to clean a bit more the bathroom of the double bedroom with Mountain View.

After we and all our gear got completely soaked while camping, we were very happy to find this large accommodation. We had plenty of space to spread out and dry off. The host is super friendly, very helpful and makes sure that his guests feel comfortable. We liked the extraordinary, creative, delicious breakfast.

The location, furniture, spacious rooms, living room, simple nice breakfast, friendly host who checked when we missed our bus and even offered us a ride and accepted our request when we asked to drop us to haputale. He also did laundary for us for a reasonable price. This place is very reasonable

Mr Sarath’s place is like a home away from home. We were so happy to stay here and rest for two nights after a month of travelling round Sri Lanka. There was a fully equipped kitchen for us to cook, although our lovely host still brought us delicious food and breakfast anyway! The place is super cosy and comfortable , with a great outdoor space you can sit and watch the monkeys playing in the trees and hear the bell and chants from the nearby temple, it’s a very authentic experience. We came on moto and the location was perfect for exploring the local area with stunning waterfalls and valleys surrounding you. It is also a recommendable spot for remote workers, I was able to conduct hours worth of video calls using the Wi-Fi without problem, but also there was good mobile coverage for backup. Above all our wonderful host was so kind and helpful, thanks so much Mr Sarath.

“Perfect stay in a beautiful area”

We stayed here for one night we enjoyed it so much we extended for another night. The host is a very sweet & warm person. He is an interesting man and keeps his home and the guest apartments very clean so much so I was impressed at how neat and well thought out the spaces were. They smelled very fresh as did the bed linens and towels 🙂 We stayed in the budget room equipped with two huge beds, fluffy pillows a fan, great shower with hot water & huge kitchen with a fridge. This was so needed and appreciated after spending the whole day exploring waterfalls and trekking through the stunning scenery that surrounds this homestay. The host has a beautiful garden with tropical flowers and spaces for guests to sit and enjoy the garden also you can enjoy the many authentic & delicious breakfast, lunches & dinners the host will provide at a very reasonable cost. He truly takes the hassle out of everything for you and will go miles out of his way for you. We felt very safe and extremely cared for here. There are gates with locks on for your scooter and your own private access to the building. This homestay is in one of the most beautiful and historical regions in Sri Lanka. Excellent Stay at Cottage Home, Belihuloya Cottage Home in Belihuloya exceeded all expectations. The facilities were impeccable, the location serene, and the owner incredibly accommodating. The cozy cottage was spotless, providing a perfect retreat amidst nature. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

Great location close to many different hiking trails. You can get a bus easily to and from the property. There is hot water with good pressure. Comfortable mattress. Kitchen equipment, such as electrical kettle and rice cooker. The owner was very helpful and was at our disposal at any time
