Great local run hotel in a great location. The rooms are of excellent standard and it’s right across from the beach. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and very welcoming.

This hotel is far better than a one star. It is so stylish and has been restored and renovated to an Extremely high standard. Yes, the hotel may lack a pool, 24hr hour concierge and a restaurant for evening meal but this is part of the rustic charm and it suited us perfectly. No frills but everything done well and to a high standard. The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is a stones throw from the Beach. The breakfast was the highlight- served and cooked by a charming, charismatic and friendly man named Unai. He went above and beyond to welcome us and cater to our needs including being Gluten free. Thank you Unai.

Hotel is located right next to the beach, also next to the A3518 bus stop which goes directly to Bilbao, friendly staff and clean facilities, very sort walk to some bars and very nice cafes!

“A Seaside Hotel in Bakio”

The room is very aesthetically done, large and very clean. There is a lovely boardwalk outside the hotel. The floor of the hotel room stays really warm on a child night.

Very old but full of character. Has been modernised, it had touch screen for lights. TV had Netflix etc. Spotless room. Great location for the beach. Ample parking across the road which is free in the off season. Could be difficult to get parking at peak times.

The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed so warmly that it immediately feels like you’re visiting friends rather than staying at a hotel. That genuine, personal atmosphere carries through the whole experience. You can really taste the quality in every single product, nothing feels random or rushed. Everything is put together with so much attention to detail that even the simplicity becomes something special. It’s not an over the top breakfast, but rather a thoughtfully curated one, and that’s exactly what makes it so perfect. On top of that, the setting is beautiful. Sitting there with a view over the water, you honestly don’t want to leave, it’s the kind of place where you could easily spend the whole day. A special mention also goes to the waiter, who is part of the family that runs the hotel. His warmth and attentiveness really made the experience even more memorable. As I said, the breakfast was absolutely fantastic, definitely a place you’ll want to come back to.

Wonderful hotel, beautiful location, great staff, super personalized breakfast! I would come here in summer when the terrasse is set and spend several days here.

This beautifully renovated house, which is about 100 years old, is absolutely wonderful. You can feel the attention to detail in the furniture, interior, and overall design. The generous use of wood creates a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Having the sea right in front of the house is simply amazing. We stayed at the end of December, and the room was very warm and comfortable. The property is family-run, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Thanks to their restaurant recommendations, we also had an outstanding dining experience. It was very convenient and appreciated that tea, coffee, and other drinks were available as self-service at any time. During this trip, we also stayed in San Sebastián and Bilbao, but this was by far the most memorable stay—something you simply can’t experience in a city. We regret staying only one night and would love to come back again. Muchas gracias ♡

It’s nice to see the beach from the room. The interior decoration is very funky. And the breakfast is top notch.
