The Doolhof is a beautifully decorated hotel set in a magnificent surroundings but the attention to details did not quite live up to our expectations. I had to ask for loo rolls and the tissues provided by our bed ran out after the first day and were not replaced infact we returned after our being out all day to find the bed unmade and the bathroom how we left it. There was a wonderful friendly woman Gaynor who when she was there things seemed to run smoothly and when not a little to be desired. I’d like to think we were unlucky and this was just a blip and I wouldn’t encounter the same problems again. It’s such a beautiful place the above has not put me off thinking of returning. JvR.

“Highly recommend for a tranquil escape”
We had a fantastic stay at the Doolhof manor. The property is hidden between the mountains and feels like you’re in your own tranquil paradise. After a week of wine tasting in Fraschhoek is was wonderful to unwind at the Doolhof. The staff were so attentive and friendly. The food at the restaurant as well as the three course dinner served on the patio was delicious.
