Located on the shore of Lake Firiza and at the foot of Mount Ignis, 10 km north of Baia Mare, the Complex Turistic Caprioara offers a bar restaurant and a summer terrace. Facilities include an indoor pool and hot tub. All rooms at Complex Turistic Caprioara include central heating, cable TV and a bathroom with hairdryer and shower. The restaurant has capacity for 54 guests and serves traditional dishes from Maramures County, as well as international dishes. The garden includes a playground for children, and free Wi-Fi is available in all public areas.

“Recomendable”
The complex is in the middle of the natural park, so it is quite ideal for hiking or mountain activities. The host was really kind and helpful. The food was good too.

Beyond all expectations the location is nothing short of perfection natural beauty quiet calm, friendly staff who are an asset to this experience, small pool but is a unexpected bonus for this trip ,good food on site if you need a quiet location to rest and recover this is the place.

Everything was excellent! The personnel is super supportive and helpful (plus friendly), they always wanted to help and got the answer for every question that we had (even not about hotel). The food was good, quite felt like real homemade food. The swimming pool is amazing (it has warm water, maybe not the best choice for summer, but I suppose in winter it's cool). Location is great, in the mountains, surrounded by the forest and near to the Firiza lake, plus 15min go to Baia Mare.

Very tasty food, helpful staff and a beautiful Lake, 100m far, are the reason, why we Will definitely return. The menu in the Czech language is nice proof, that we are welcome here. The owner was a motorcycle racer in the seventies!

“A fine place to stay at, till you get some neighbors...”
The food was good, a bit expensive. The location is nice, inside the mountains. The mattress was too hard for us, but comfort is a relative thing. We will go again sometime in the future, the staff was very nice and friendly.
