Delightful old style French house. Immaculately clean. Comfortable beds. Good location. Delicious breakfast with all products from local area and served outside in the garden. Highly recommended for a stay if travelling south having arrived into Normandy by ferry. Shame we were just passing through.

We loved staying at Villa Matignon and Cécile wax a charming host! We were cycling on the Veloscenie and it was a convenient location near to the cycle trail - but was at the top of town! Cécile allowed us to store our bikes in a secure, locked garage. There were plenty of restaurants in Bagnole de L’Orne in walking distance - which was ideal! Our room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped and the en suite was spotlessly clean with a great shower. We had an absolutely delicious breakfast on the terrace in the beautiful garden. Thank you!

We requested a vegan breakfast in advance and we had no complaints as Cécile had prepared everything very well.The welcome was very warm when we arrived. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Everything we needed was on hand.

A lovely property-Cecile our host was brilliant. We arrived on a damp November evening and were soon sitting in front of a roaring wood fire with a glass of cider. Everything had been thought through for the comfort of the guests. The breakfast was fantastic-sourced from local mostly organic ingredients - it was plentiful and very tasty.

Cecile, the host was thoughtful, caring , friendly,helpful with an eye for detail in all she provided . Cecile produced a great breakfast and we especially liked the fruit compote , homemade of course! Rooms were v comfortable. Recommend !

“Quiet and comfortable place to stay in an interesting town.”

Beautiful villa in residential road with about 10-15mins walk to the centre of town. Our bikes were securely stored overnight in a locked shed in the garden. Delicious breakfast was a range of local products shared with other guests around a large table. A very welcoming and quiet place to stay.

It was a big surprise coming to Villa Matignon. We feel like home. Plenty space for our family of 4. Charming atmosphere. Lovely breakfast.

Beautiful house. Comfortable room with good en suite shower. Excellent communal guest facilities including a lounge and kitchenette with fridge and kettle. Lovely host. Very good breakfast with fresh, local products.Short walk into the town centre with lake and several restaurants.

Cecile was very friendly and welcoming and helpful with suggestions for places to visit and activities in the local area. We had a very spacious room with a large comfortable bed. The views from the room were over the garden and looked out onto the oak tree.

Perfectly located,clean comfortable room with excellent facilities and Cécile made us most welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Our French was poor but Cecile’s English was really appreciated. We took motorbikes which could be safely parked in the beautiful gardens. I would highly recommend staying here and we hope to return x
