The place is on the roadside and you can hear every little sound from outside. I couldn't sleep. Thankfuly I was there for only one night. I could hear motorbikes and people the whole night.

“Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.. but not again. Too noisy.”
Reception was pleasant with friendly staff, and the seating around the pool very nice to spend some time. Food tasty, but beer can be much colder.

“Great place where to relax in bagamoyo”
Common areas are lovely with a great swimming pool and loads of resting areas. Breakfast was very good. Location is good, right on the beach. Room was big.

it's a lovely place, in an old palace. the rooms are big and charming. the pool is perfect for the heat and the food is very good. the breakfast included is a great thing! all the girls that work at firefly are very nice. my little girl also had a head massage which she loved.

Really chill and nice backpacker hotel in a charming historical building with a great pool and great atmosphere! We also booked a safari to Mikumi with a company they recommended and they were super nice and helpful and it worked out just perfectly. Even when we had little problems with a bank delay, the hotel was so nice to help us out and therefor enable the safari trip.

“Firefly is a good choice when staying in Bagamoyo!”
The staff was friendly and there was a good atmosphere. The building was truly beautiful, very unique and historical. Both the inside of the building as well as the outside space was great. Enough options for breakfast, snacks and dinner.
