Very friendly family, made very welcome, pool was great, very clean and lots of wildlife to view from balcony

Clean well equipped room. Comfortable beds. Very good breakfast delivered to your room. Small but nice pool. About 7 km from Bijagua, 15-20 minutes to tenorio turnoff. Kitchen with hot plate and microwave and coffee maker. Friendly and helpful hosts. Sloth visible from property path. If time permits, drive to Miravalles: road is spectacular and paved ( mostly). Good restaurant nearby:la casona.

Superb homemade breakfast included everyday. Large property to explore (saw several monkeys and sloths right on the property) with extremely friendly staff who helped me spot the sloths. Nice fridge magnet souvenir gifted to me.

Wonderful garden leading into this strech of jungle that runs along the creek that borders the property.

The accommodation was perfect. The extensive gardens brought nature to our door/balcony. Our breakfast was delicious with fruit coming from the garden. Our hosts were very knowledgeable about plants, birds and animals- graciously sharing with us.

Where should we start? The stay was perfect in every way. The family atmosphere, the very warm welcome, the extremely friendly host family, the many animals, the guided tours of the garden, the delicious breakfast. Thank you very much for everything, we felt very welcome.

Evermore was great. Room was clean and comfy. Lots of birds to watch in the morning with our great breakfast delivered to the room.

This place is magical - surrounded by forest, nature and animals. Toucans visiting for breakfast and howler monkeys which you can watch from your private terrace. Melissa and her staff were extremely welcoming, showing us sloth nearby in the trees and spoiling us with delicious breakfast! It was so nice and relaxing to listen to the birds and enjoy the breeze in the trees! Would recommend 100% and come back for sure!

It was the best stay (sofar) on my costa rica holiday. I was really blown away. Super nice Bungalow, with all you need: comfy bed, coach, kitchen and great terasse with hammocks. Lovely and cosy. The breakfast was very good and Angie who is working there showed me a lot of birds and sloths The tour about the plants groeing at their property was also great. The weather was not great but I enjoyed bird watching directly from my terasse

We loved our Aguticapa stay and would have stayed longer had we known how well located it was for Volcan Tenorio park (Rio Celeste), and an organic cocoa plantation (Tree Chocolate) that gave us a truly memorable tour miles from the ubiquitous tourist traps in the area. The bungalow itself was large, beautiful and very comfortable, with everything you can think of, including a small kitchenette. It is part of a small, family-run complex surrounded by lush vegetation, terraces and even a small swiming pool. The breakfast, included in the price, was delicious and served in our room. The area is rural, set in gorgeous mountains, though there is a large, well stocked supermarket within a 15-minute drive. To note that a car is a must (we did fine without a 4x4 as Aguticapa is on a paved road).

Lovely spacious bungalow. Location not far from town and amenities and pool was small but perfect for cooling off when needed. Great trail along the river for a nature hike and breakfast was simply amazing!! Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were beautifully decorated and this amazed me just because of how far they are from any large stores. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was AMAZING and huge (made from scratch and delivered to your room).

Spacious rooms, breakfast fantastic. Quiet location & comfortable bed. Saw a sloth & monkeys very close up in the garden. Owners very helpful when we had a problem with the Air Conditioning.
