Mahajiva was the perfect place to end our trip in Bali. After a busy and adventure-filled week along the coast, arriving here felt like stepping into complete calm. It was the ideal way to unwind and reset before heading home. The facilities are absolutely beautiful and impeccably clean, with such a peaceful atmosphere throughout. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, which made the entire experience feel even more special. We also booked a 90-minute massage at our villa, and it was exceptional. As a fun bonus, we even spotted (and heard!) a Tokay gecko, which felt like such a unique Bali moment. After spending time in very busy, tourist-heavy areas, I had built up a bit of underlying anxiety, but it completely melted away the moment we arrived at Mahajiva. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Bali who wants a serene, beautiful escape.

The surrounding and the uniqueness of the property

The view and environment was amazing, calming river sounds and nature. Staff were one of the friendliest ive had the pleasure of being taken care of by. Overall it was the genuinely one of the most pleasant places ive stayed in. 10/10

“Could not ask for anything more to make our stay more enjoyable”

This place will exceed your expectations. We were met by 4 staff members, who whisked our bags away. Whilst another staff member guided us down the path to the reception desk. We were then shown to our bungalow and offered an upgrade. After selection our bungalow, the staff connected with us via Whatsapp, which was such a great way to communicate with the staff at any time of day. They provided menus for local restaurants, we placed a dinner order, which the staff went and collected for us, then instead of just handing us a bag with our food. They requested access to our bungalow and plated the meal for us, then advised to text when we had finished our meal and come and cleaned up, washed the dishes and turned down the beds for us. They also sprayed for mosquitoes and lit a mozzie coil to help keep them away during the night. The staff also arranged transport at 5:30am to take us to a wedding ceremony and then picked us up afterward at no extra charge (so we just left a tip for them). So lovely, thoughtful and what a great place. The private plunge pool is heaven. I highly recommended Mahajiva and look forward to returning soon.

“Extremely Aesthetic Villa with stunning views and soothing sound of river”

This was the best choice for a bamboo villa in Bali. Instead of booking a higher-cost bamboo villa, this one offered excellent value. Siri and the rest of the staff were extremely kind and helpful, which was another major highlight of our stay. The forest views, along with the soothing sound of the river at night, created a very peaceful atmosphere. The pool and overall experience were excellent and truly made our stay magical. The villa’s main highlights were its beautiful aesthetics, stunning views, and unique three-level layout, with the swimming pool on one level, the common area and kitchen on another, and the bedroom on the top floor. The staff provided cleaning twice a day. In the evening, they prepared the bed with mosquito repellent and fresh water bottles. They paid attention to every small detail, even offering us umbrellas when we stepped out in light rain, without us having to ask. This villa also offers a proper air conditioner in bedroom which many other villas were missing, This is very important for hot weather of Bali.

What a stunning property. Everything was perfect and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Very private. Falling asleep to the sound of the river was perfect. Even had an Ebony Leaf monkey visit our villa! We will be back!!

First of all, Elsya, Sri and Ari were very kind. And the guy who ride motorcycle with me to the ATM machine was sincerely nice as well. The room was very private, so that we can enjoy the time there. Towels and bed smelled nice, everything was very clean. We used 6 hotels on this trip and Mahajiva was the best out of all. Strongly recommended.

Mahajiva is absolutely beautiful. We loved every moment of our stay and never wanted to leave. The staff are absolutely amazing we especially loved the head of security, Sri, and the lady who worked the day they were all wonderful. We will definitely be back!
