“A rustic and quirky but attractive hotel”

Altes Zollhaus in Bad Tölz has a rustic feel to it. The owner is clearly very proud of the fact that this very old building remains capable of providing comfortable accommodation to travellers. The hotel is conveniently located on the edge of the town. The hotel restaurant provides excellent steaks and burgers.

All was OK. It suited our trip plan. Price is also good level. Location is good about do short trip for Alpen.

Quiet area, had a garden facing room so very quiet. Room I got was large.

We stayed one night which was enough for us to be able to walk around the old town. The room was spacious and clean. They had their own restaurant serving lovely gourmet burgers as well as other nice dishes. Well worth eating in,

Climbing stairs with luggage was laborious. There were no fans or air conditioner during summer months .

The hotel is situated in a quiet location about a 5 minute drive from Bad Tölz. Even though the rooms need renovation regarding furniture and carpeting, our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great and the staff very helpful. The restaurant downstairs serves great steaks.

Room was a good size and quite airy. Location was very good with proximity to new and old town, but surrounded by forest and bush walks. Breakfast was substantial, and staff very friendly. Good inhouse beer garden and restaurant.

“dirty hotel, never again, avoid it!”

We found dirty glasses, dirty & molded sink and shower and, dirty toilett, the fresh towel had toothpath on it. The bed cover war completly hairy (maybe animal hair), which was visible from a distance. The sofa was not functional, the key could barely pushed into the key-whole in the door, window was almost impossible to close. Due to the fact, that we had complain against the accomodation (it was very dirty, smelly, unhealty), we have to wait 30min for the manager to get our invoice. He didn't appologise at all for anything.

We stayed at this place as a stop during our bike trip and it was very comfortable. They have a special place to store the bikes, which was very useful. Breakfast and dinner were nice.
