Overview
Located in the Bad Sachsa spa resort in the Harz Mountains, this guest house is just a 3-minute walk from the spa park and town centre. All rooms at the An der Uffe feature a cable TV, radio and private bathroom. Some rooms also offer a balcony with a mountain view. A breakfast buffet is served at An der Uffe every morning, including freshly baked bread. A variety of restaurants are also within walking distance. Surrounded by woodlands and just a 5-minute walk to Lake Schmelzteich, the area around An der Uffe is ideal for hiking and cycling. The popular Kurpark (spa park) also hosts many concerts and other events throughout the year. The historic Schloss Herzberg is a 30-minute drive from the hotel. Bad Sachsa Train Station is less than 3 km away, and a free shuttle is provided on request. The guest house also provides parking facilities for cars and bicycles.

This review is for the apartment ( with kitchen facilities ) that my wife and I booked. On a basic level the room was functional, it was well heated, spacious and had a nice hot shower. Good points after a day of hiking at -2c temperatures
