“Clean, fair priced, good Breakfast and friendly staff. Nothing more, nothing less”
I recently stayed at Gasthaus zur Krone in Bad König and enjoyed my time there. The hotel has a charming, old-fashioned feel, as the rooms are clearly from the 70s era. Though the décor and bathroom are dated, everything was clean and in working order. One downside was the carpet around the bed, which could really use an update. However, the friendly and attentive staff made up for this with their welcoming attitudes and helpfulness. The breakfast was also a highlight—generous and delicious, with a good variety of options. Overall, Gasthaus zur Krone provides a comfortable stay if you don’t mind a bit of vintage style.

Old and traditional buildings, but is well maintained and extremely clean. It was very comfortable to stay. Very friendly hotel staff. It is not on the surface. You can feel it is from the heart.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Arrived later in the evening on my motorbike and they offered to let me park it in the beer garden, which was much appreciated 😊. Unfortunately I don't speak German, but most the staff spoke great English anyway. Slept in a lovely little room (single with ensuite) with a beautiful view out of the window. Breakfast next day was great also.
