Cheap and comfortable

I had booked a twin room with two separate beds, but upon arrival, the receptionist, Ms. P, told me that my reservation was for a double bed. Even though I showed her my booking confirmation and the room photos from Booking.com, she refused to accept it and asked me to contact Booking myself. After wasting quite some time calling here and there, Booking finally intervened and arranged another room for us at their own expense. At first, the receptionist said there were no available rooms, then gave various excuses, and finally said the new room was ready. But when I got the key, it turned out to be a single room! After further discussion, we eventually got two separate rooms without paying extra. However, we were very disappointed and frustrated with Ms. P’s unprofessional and dishonest attitude, and we lost one to two hours of our time unnecessarily. It was an unpleasant experience that we did not expect from a hotel of this level.

Misleading Information and Poor Service – Not Recommended I stayed at Hotel Erlanbacher Hof from 6th to 15th February 2025 (booked via Check24) and then from 15th to 18th February 2025, booking directly with the hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was frustrating due to several issues, including parking, internet access, and poor service. 1. Parking Issues – Misleading Information One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was the mention of free parking. However, the reality was far from convenient. The parking spaces are too small for SUVs, making it difficult to park without struggling. There are only three spaces suitable for larger vehicles, and they are always occupied if you arrive after 6 PM. On my first day, I raised this issue with the hotel, and they promised to reserve a spot for me after taking my car’s number plate—but they never followed through, and nothing was done till the end of my stay. 2. Internet Problems – No Coverage in Some Rooms I was initially given a room on the second floor, but there was no internet coverage in my room. After complaining, they moved me to the first floor, but this meant I had to repack everything and relocate, which was quite inconvenient. 3. Room Size – Very Small and Uncomfortable The rooms are much smaller than expected, making it difficult to move around comfortably. The space is quite cramped, especially if you have luggage. 4. Poor Service & False Promises I also had a terrible experience when I requested a steam iron for an important meeting. The hotel kept changing their story, causing me unnecessary stress. They promised to compensate with free breakfast but later refused to honor their own offer. Final Verdict: Would Not Recommend Misleading claims about parking. Internet issues in some rooms. Small, uncomfortable rooms. Poor customer service—staff make promises but fail to deliver. For the price, this hotel is not worth the hassle.

A quiet location in a historic building. Friendly staff, and large comfortable rooms. Car parking is available inn the hotel courtyard. The breakfast was very good.
