We were looking for a quiet place to stay and to get close to nature. Hotel Lamm was an excellent wood us. The staffs were super friendly and helpful, and the food at the restaurant was exceptional. It was so good that we went there two days in a row. The hotel facility was of course not state of the art, but it is super cozy and has a nice warm atmosphere. We will definitely choose to stay there again!

“Beautiful location, stunning restaurant”

The hotel is an absolute hidden gem in the northern Black Forest. It's located in the lovely quiet village of Rotensol about 2km outside Bad Herrenalb. While it's probably best reached by car, there's also a public bus service from Bad Herrenalb. If you're fit and travelling with a rucksack, you can even hike the 2km up the hill! I did it, it's a nice walk but fairly steep so be warned. The hotel itself is simply wonderful in an almost indescribable way. The staff were incredibly helpful, polite and friendly at all times, I felt at home immediately. The atmosphere is a rare mix of a welcoming, traditional family-run hotel with a highly modern and professional approach to customer service. Absolute full marks for the staff. But the jewel in the crown is the restaurant which served dishes of stunning quality throughout my stay. I was literally shocked at how good the food was, and the pricing is extremely reasonable. I can recommend getting half board if you are comfortable with not having the entire menu to choose from. Overall this hotel gets the absolute highest possible rating from me and I look forward to returning in the future.

Very comfortable room with balcony overlooking the hills at the back of the hotel. Quiet. Beautiful German style. Very friendly staff. Plenty of parking spaces. Good breakfast for €15. The restaurant serving lunch and dinner has a very good reputation

“A fantastic value for your money in a beautiful setting”

The room was absolutely pretty! We had nice trails for walks behind the hotel where we could easily walk our dogs. The breakfast was delicious and rich with local food and the dinner in their restaurant exquisite! Very big portions and super tasty. We had a great experience with the staff members too, everyone was friendly and smiling. A very pleasant stay. Would come back!

“Another Wonderful Stay – Just as Great as Before!”

We've stayed at this hotel a couple of times now, and were so happy to find that the experience was just as excellent as in previous years. The staff are incredibly welcoming and professional – they really make you feel at home. The food is outstanding, with plenty of delicious options, and the rooms are always clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It's a peaceful location too, which makes it perfect for a relaxing break. We’ll definitely be back again! We were also able to buy some red wine from the hotel, we recommend the Spatburgunder!

I was met a friendly and hospitable reception, the staff is very willing to accommodate any specific wishes or questions. Be sure to also eat here, the restaurant prepares excellent food and a very delicious cold locally brewed beer. Don't forget the outstanding sunsets on the restaurant terrace.
