“Abysmal experience with this hotel and Booking.com”

Room had no heating, windows were wide open (in the evening) and outside were 7 degrees. We were promised somebody would come over to check the situation. Nobody came. Hotel was fully booked but there were other people who had the same problem. This hotel really sold every room they had regardless if somebody could stay there over the night or not. We could not stay over the night. Booking.com refused to find us another place to stay so we had to find one on our own. Avoid this hotel and try making your booking through another platform. Booking.com clearly doesn't give you any protection in case things go bad.

Great hotel with charm! We loved the combination of historic flair and modern amenities at the Parkhotel Bad Ems. We also really appreciated the free parking and the good connections to hiking and cycling trails in the Lahn Valley. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

There are no staff to see. Got locked out of 2 from 4 rooms and couldn’t find anyone. Tried the two numbers and couldn’t reach anyone either. What a bad organisation here in the hotel even the cleaner and kitchen staff don’t see the owners. Extremely bad.

Access Card Issues: On the next day, my access card to the room stopped working. I had to go to the reception, where I was informed that the card was not functioning, and I had to take a locker. Although the locker worked, this caused significant inconvenience. Room Door Issues: In the evening of the same day, I was unable to open the room door with the locker. When I called the manager, he said he would return with another key, but he did not come back in time, which delayed my important meeting. Manager’s Behavior: When the manager finally arrived, he was rude and yelled at me, which was completely unacceptable. I requested someone more competent to handle the situation, but my concerns were ignored. Room Security: Upon returning home on , I found that the replacement room provided had been left open, and the bed made , by hotel staff, it means somebody was in the room after my left . This is highly concerning as my valuables, including my passport and money, were at risk. The manager even suggested that I might have been intoxicated and implied that the issues were my fault, which is absolutely unacceptable. Given these serious concerns, I request a formal apology and appropriate compensation for the distress and inconvenience caused. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am very disappointed. I have stayed in this hotel before and everything was well but this time I left hotel after few hours. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. One big bed with two matraces that made us falling all the time in middle. I guess it is time to search another for stay in Bad Ems bcs I don't want to have experience like this anymore.

The building itself and its location: on a hill, and at walking distance from the train station. The room was really comfortable, its interior decoration outstandingly tasteful, beautiful. The bathroom is and has all one could wish for.
