Overview
This family-run guest house is located in an old waterworks building in Bad Bentheim, just an 8-minute walk from Bentheim Castle. It offers free Wi-Fi and free parking. The rooms and self-catering apartments of the das alte Wasserwerk include satellite TV and private bathrooms. All rooms have access to the terrace and some also feature a balcony. A breakfast buffet is provided each morning in the bright breakfast room with large windows. Guests have use of the altes Wasserwerk’s garden with barbecue area. Comfortable little hotel! I spent a night on my way to NL, the room was clean and cosy, comfortable bed, fresh air and clean bathroom. The hotel is in a calm little town, ideal for an evening run or a morning refreshment walk around the castle. Also the parking was spacy enough for turning a big car. The owner was very kind and the breakfast was just delicious!

A lovely find! Very friendly owners and the property was in a quiet location but close to the centre of town. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and great value. All in all, a great stay.

Second time staying here on an overland trip to see family in northern Germany. We would definitely come back. Lovely people and a great place to stay. Very handy for the motorway if you’re passing through like us but also Bad Bentheim is a pretty little town with a great castle so worth a look!

“Peaceful and enjoyable staying at a small hotel”
The hotel is in a living area which makes it very quiet. About 20 minutes' walk from the train station, it's easy to find. The room is much cleaner than I expected because it looked a bit old on the webpage, but it turned out to be very clean and tidy, the balcony is definitely a plus. It seems like a family business, the people who work there are chill and friendly, and the male boss explains everything well. The shower is great even though the shower room is a bit small. My mom and I love the buffet breakfast, so many options. it's so worth the money.

The receptionist is xenophobic and rude. It seems that hes doing us a favor by letting me spend the night at the hotel.
