“wonderful apartment in a beautful location”
An amazing place in the small village of Bachkovo. Lovely friendly welcome despite my lack of Bulgarian although the owner arrived later and spoke perfect English. This apartment is right at the top end of the village. There are 82 steps plus a long slope if you go direct or you can follow the winding lanes for an easier walk. But the view of the forested mountains from the balcony and the peace and quiet (apart form birdsong and thunder claps) makes the effort worthwhile. The bus stops at the bottom of the slope and the monastery is 10 minutes walk on a footpath by the river. The restaurant at the bottom of the stairs seems to shut fairly early but food is available later near the monastery. The apartment has a shared area with a kettle, microwave, filtered water and coffee and tea. Room was very comfortable with a big bed and chairs on the balcony. This was just a wonderful stay.

“Nice room, friendly people, difficult to access by car”
Good location near Bachkovo Monastery in the quaint old village of Bachkovo. Nice room. Good WiFi. Friendly and helpful welcome - no English spoken by the nice old lady who greeted me, but we got by. I think the main host who speaks good English was away.

Communicative owners, very nice, open and polite. The facility is well equipped and maintained with extraordinary care and attention to cleanliness inside and out. Room equipment is adequate. The village is very pretty and atmospheric. Secure parking is available. Peace and quiet. Safe. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The offer fully matches the description.

“Friendly place near the wonderful Bachkovo Monastery”
The owner's mother gave me a lovely friendly welcome - and kindly put my clothes through a wash. The owner - Dimitra (I think) was also friendly, interesting & helpful. The room was fine, with ample water, coffee & tea. An easy 2km walk to the Bachkovo Monastery.

“Amazing stay in beautiful town”
Amazing stay. The house is in immaculate conditions and the photos don’t do the rooms justice. The host is incredible and goes above and beyond with her hospitality. The view off the balcony is surreal with the place situated in the mountains. I would highly recommend staying here. You can access the town via bus from Plovdiv.

“Kindness in a mountain village”
Wonderful stay, hosted by a very sweet lady in a mountain village. Beautiful surroundings, perfect as a starting point for hiking day trips, or as a getaway from the cities.
