Sea view rooms for a very good price in Bacalar. Staff were lovely. Amazing sunrises from here you can watch from a hammock. Perfect if you have a car but there is also a WhatsApp number for taxis very easily!

I'm struggling to rate this hotel as the location is fantastic and the water-front rooms are really nice. Also the staff are friendly and helpful but all that is outweighed by the lack of maintenance, lack of cleaning in the common spaces, the poor facilities and the general atmosphere.

“A beautiful place to enjoy a quiet couple of days overlooking the Lagoon of the Seven Colours”

We stayed in the suite with lake views for a couple of nights - which really was our main reason for booking this hotel. The room itself was amazing and the private terrace delivered even better than expected… views for days!!! a truly incredible place to wake up in the morning and a simply superb private space to chill during the day. Raul was an excellent host and went above and beyond to make sure we had the most wonderful stay! It was really appreciated that there was a fridge in the room - missing in so many places around here… we simply cannot understand why!? Also worth mentioning: The easy access from the main road into Bacalar was a pleasant surprise, as you only need to cover a few meters of dirt-road rather than the several kilometres most hotels around this area seem to require. All in all, we had a great stay and look forward to coming back next time we are in the Peninsula.

The food was excellent. The bed was super comfortable. The room was clean. The location is perfect; only a short 4 minute taxi ride out of town, and a beautiful spot on the lake.

Overall the place is very quiet and pleasant, with a beautiful access to the lake. The view from the room was beautiful. The staff was quite welcoming, including room service with delicious breakfast options.

“Great Lagoon Access, but Poorly Managed Hotel with Uncomfortable Rooms and Neglected Amenities”

The hotel is situated right by the lagoon, offering a peaceful setting away from the town, which can be a pleasant escape. Guests can enjoy free use of kayaks and take a refreshing dip directly from the footbridge. There’s also a nearby boat rental offering a highly recommended tour that we enjoyed.

Good size room with nice big balcony overlooking the lagoon. Loved the private access to the lagoon. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great during our stay so we didn't use it as much as we would have liked. Despite the rain, we did do the private boat tour of the Lagoon that's was recommended by the hotel, it was a great experience and the staff were lovely!
