“Quiet, green, and relaxing”

The hotel is wonderfully quiet — we really appreciated the peaceful atmosphere. It’s a perfect place to slow down. Direct access to the lagoon is a big plus. We spent beautiful hours there reading, exercising, swimming, and just enjoying the view. The territory itself is lush and very green, which makes the whole experience even more relaxing. There are also some nice touches on the property: hammocks, a palapa with chess, kayaks, and a jetty. We stayed for three nights, and overall it felt like enough to keep us happily occupied.

“Excellent stay”

By far the best accommodation of our trip to Mexico, the rooms are independent cottages surrounded by nature in the park. Rich and abundant breakfast, friendly staff.

Peaceful location and helpful staff. Beautiful gardens and very comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast included. Lovely to have a hammock on our patio. I would recommend a sunrise kayak tour. Erik was an interesting and informative guide. We would love to have stayed longer.

A super quiet place for resting, we enjoy the beautiful lake and kayaking. The breakfast is also good.

“Bacalar Beauty”

Ecotucan was our favourite stay by far during our trip to Mexico. The property is absolutely stunning; if you love birds and nature then this is the place to stay. Two top tips: 1. Wake up for sunrise, go down to the lake and admire the view (and birds) 2. Book a kayak tour with Active Nature who operate from there. The villas themselves are beautiful - spacious, modern and they have A/C now. The restaurant is also great but town is also a 15 minute drive. Breakfast is divine. And a big shout out to Arturo who is the kindest host and made us feel so welcome.

Really beautiful cabin, nicely designed and practical and lovely premises, great jungle garden. Very helpful and friendly staff. Amazing shower, lovely design and functionality. Good, personalised breakfast.

Super nice host, comfortable bedrooms, nicer than in the pictures. Really nice to stay in the middle of the jungle and very easy access to the lagoon. 10 min way from central bacalar (need to go by car).

Beautiful location in the forest with great gardens you can do a walking tour in. Very nice buildings and access to the lagoon. Good food in restaurant fairly priced.

“Loved this place!!”

This place is simply amazing: great spacious design villas in the jungle with amazing bathrooms and lovely patios. The restaurant food is great. The walking tour in the jungle was an unforgettable amazing experience. The pier on the lake is relaxing and peaceful and no boats are passing so very quiet.

The location was nice and sunrise we saw at the lagoon was amazing.The concept of the hotel was quite cool and we didn't have any windows so we constantly heard the sounds of nature (which was very very nice). The rooms were quite big.
