It was a lovely room, comfy bed, very spacious, we had the room with a private tub and it was so nice to jump into after a long day! It was a little bit of a walk from the central plaza but it is a pleasant 15 minute walk along one straight road so it was fine.

“Authentic and comfortable”

Bacalar was a perfect gem to explore in Mexico. And La Galuna Bacalar was awsome place to stay.

The hotel is a modern design with spacious rooms, in a quiet location walking distance from plenty of good bars and restaurants.

Receptionist didn’t speak english. Variety of the breakfast. Poor shower pressure. Facilities were outdated.

Lovely big spacious room with a huge bed and lots of places to sit. Lovely outdoor space with private pool. Staff kindly let us check in early which was a bonus after a long early bus.

Good location, very easy to park in the street and walk to the city center. The pool is nice too

“Relaxed stay”

The hotel is located far from bars and noisy area, i would recommend it for anyone who wants to rest. Mattresses are comfortable and the staff was always friendly and helpful.

Pleasant location, easy walking distance from the lagoon and the market. Room presented well and was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful in organising a lagoon cruise.

The location is very close to a bathing spot on the lagoon, a bit far from bus station but still walkable distance and also a bit far from places to eat. Nice pool.

The facility was modern with big doors. The pool was nice. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to have shower and toilet in different rooms.

“Great staff, not so great rooms”

The staff were amazing - nothing was too much trouble. They helped with room changes, refund, tours and even with advice for my onwards journey. The reception staff also seem to be in charge of the pool maintenance and cleaning too, they do everything and still do it with a smile on their face. Nothing is too much trouble and they are great.

located next to the street and gets loud. ran down facility. needed renovation. AC was loud. breakfast and serves at breakfast was terrible.

Chilled out pool and bar area, stylish rooms and nice breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. The cafe on the corner just down the road has lovely food and drink.
