One of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in! Awesome decour, amazing location on the lake- tasty food and drinks and excellent service. Only 20 minute walk to town so great location!

Everything was perfect

Beware of this expensive, overpriced hotel, with careless reception staff. We had a lake view room, but since the property is on a hill, the front-facing lake rooms are right next to the bar, pool, and dining area. It was like being in a cheap all-inclusive motel with 80s music blasting, making it impossible to escape. And don’t even get me started on the neighbors beach club music. This place shamelessly upsells a 3-star property as a 5 star. Be warned. No refunds offered , no apologies , it was clear staff knew about this , but a half-hearted “we’ll rebook you” doesn’t work anymore when you cheat on your guests. They charged us as if we were in a prime Tulum beach location, shameless. For this premium price, you don’t even get an espresso for breakfast unless you pay extra. And the food is average, like you’d expect from a 3-star hotel. Do not go here.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Carolina Bacalar. The staff was very friendly, forthcoming, helpful and even went the extra mile to assist. For example, when you decide to book a tour just one hour before it starts, they make it happen. :) Kayaks and SUPs were always available to explore the Cenote Negro close by. Service at the bar and sunbeds is great as well. Highly recommended!

The property was amazing, location is close to centre on the lagoon, everything was amazing! The little cabinets were supercute! Also the food at the restaurant was really good!

Really relaxing location with great views over the lake. Really nice room (11) on upper floor with lovely balcony and aspect. Very happy and helpful staff and well run. Used the free kayak service - good equipment and nice places to see nearby.

We had a lovely stay here. We came here very stressed due to a not so good experience in a previous hotel . However the hotel dealt with us very well and accommodated us so thank you for this we really appreciate it. A big shout out to Yuri for sorting this out. Thanks !

The location was beautiful on the Lagoon, felt like paradise. The bar and food was great also.

Room was really good with quiet airco. Our breakfast included eggs of our choice and that made for a very fine breakfast. Manager was very friendly and did his best to help us with our concerns. I enjoyed using the SUP stand up paddle boards which were free to use.

We had a room on the first floor which was perfect. The access to the lake is great, they have everything you need (kayaks, vests, etc) provided for the guests for free. Rooms are well-maintained, clean, and the bed is so comfy. The lake is beautiful.

Lovely setting in a middle of a tropical garden and by the lake. Get up at dawn and go on the pier. Sit down and watch the sunrise. It s outstandly beautiful, calm and relaxing. Modern design bungalow with everything you need.

Very atmospheric hotel, comfortable rooms great location - on the lake shore, close to the city, and at the same time quiet and peaceful. Great food, nice service. I recommend!!!
