Perfect experience with Delmar !!! 😍 What a kind host. The breakfast is amazing (typical from Tabasco, scramble eggs, avocado, platanos a la plancha, y frijoles). The rooms are a bit rustic, but you forget it with the warmness of this place. We directly felt welcomed. We will miss you Delmar ! You are an amazing person that we will never forget. Delmar is an incredible host and the place is just perfect if you want to feel like in a family. Just don't pretend modern facilities and privacy, it's a little place and you have to share with people.

Good location - Delmar is very friendly and makes a great breakfast.

They're not actual tends but, as you see in the picture, is a bed in a "room". You can hear noises from outside / other rooms so you still have an outdoorsy feeling :) bed is comfy and there's a mosquito net and fan. But the highlight of this place is the breakfast cooked freshly every morning by Delmar. It comes with happy vibes and stories from Delmar himself.

The location is fantastic, really central to everything. The owner Delmar is great, incredibly friendly, helpful and laid back. He cooks a superb free breakfast in the morning. The kitchen and fridge are available to use. Really good value for money if you just want somewhere to put your head down. The mattress was new🙂

“This is the place where you want to stay !”

I loved to stay here. You pay a hostel price but get your own little room, with fan and mosquito net. I liked the outdoor showers and the breakfast in the morning, freshly prepared by friendly Delmar. Also Zulie who was there during the day was very friendly and helpful. The lagoon with the huge pier is just around the corner, also there are some cheap alternative food places which are open late, and they are very cheap. If I am back in Bacalar I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

I don’t normally leave reviews but the outstanding quality of service from Delmar well deserves leaving a review. I’ve travelled loads but I don’t think I have come across someone as nice and helpful as Delmar. Also the included breakfast is fantastic!

“Cool stay!”

I had an amazing stay , Delmar is a top bloke , helpful and actually very funny!, speaks very good English and does a great breakfast! I planned on 4 nights but ended up staying 12! Outside shower, which is actually very pleasant with plants and flowers around you, i had a great stay, with great people and a good atmosphere. Gracias
