Everything, the place is managed very well. Clean inside and outside and everyday the rooms are cleaned. The breakfast 🥞 is delicious and the host is very friendly and helpful. We will come back again!

“Really good place to stay”

Lovely staff, beautiful rooms and nice courtyard where breakfast was served. Breakfast was traditional Mexican and substantial. Also very quiet and so had good night's sleep. Beds were good quality - one soft mattress and one hard so you could chose your preference. Would highly recommend.

We loved this place. The room was modern, nice, and super clean and there was a nice patio to sit outside. We felt at home instantly. Breakfast was really good, there are bikes to rent and the hosts are the best. They were super kind, explained possible activities in Bacalar to us when we arrived and when we fell sick they took care of us. We would always come back!

“Amazing place to stay, Carmen is the best!”

We had an exceptional stay at Casa Zazil! Carmen went out of her way to make sure we had the best time - she even surprised us with a decorated room because it was our honeymoon! The breakfast was excellent and Carmen recommended a lot of great places (e.g. los Rápidos and she also organized a taxi there for 200 pesos). She even gave us a ride down to the lagoon when she had the time. The room was great and the water pressure in the shower the best we have encountered in Mexico. Casa Zazil also provides free water! We loved our stay there and would absolutely recommend it!

Carmen, Marta and Francisco could not have been more welcoming. Breakfasts were excellent. The rooms were wonderful.

“Just perfect!”

Everything! We are very well welcome by our 2 hosts in a charming place, with all the confort you need and a homemade breakfast! It's very well located near the the laguna and they provide all the informations you need about the tours and activities around. Bacalar has been our favorite spot in Mexico by far! I highly recommend you to stay in Casa Zazil!

We loved this small hotel! Really friendly hosts and a nice atmosphere with very clean rooms. The breakfast is amazing and they even ask you what you prefer, which was great for us as vegetarians but must also be nice for vegans. The bed was very comfortable. Sadly we only stayed there for one night since on our way back from Mahahual and we already went to Bacalar the week before. Otherwise we would have tried all the great tips they provided. We definitely recommend staying here!

Place was well maintained and modern. Everywhere was super clean. Sisters, Carman and Marta were super helpful providing info on what to see in Bacular, where to eat etc. The breakfast they provided each day was exceptional!,

Nice place , very friendly owner, very good breakfast

The two owners are very nice and even asked us what we would like to eat for breakfast, they made it even vegan and changed it every morning! Furthermore they explained us a list of activities in the area which was really helpful.

We really liked the property. It was within walking distance from the bus station and 10 mins walk into the centre. It was quiet, beds were really comfortable. It had a safe in the room, good air con, powerful shower & filtered water available in the reception area. The two ladies in charge were really helpful & tailored our breakfast to suit our needs. They even gave us a lift into town one evening. We loved Bacalar & our time here 😊

“Lovely place in Bacalar”

Delicious every day changing breakfast. The two owner Ladies were very helpful. They gave us even lifts to town or the bus station. Location is about 5 minutes from the bus station but quiet at night. Good AC and WiFi. Distance to the center is about 15 min, but taxis will take you for 30 Pesos.

“Amazing!”

I cannot praise this accommodation enough. The owner was so kind. She explained everything to us on arrival - what was worth seeing, what the prices were, what restaurants she would recommend. Even though she didn't speak English, she did her best. The location is great as we could walk to the city centre. The room was wonderful! Large and very tastefully furnished. The bathroom was also great. Everything was very clean. But the best thing was the breakfast! So delicious and every day we got something different. We were so happy with the accommodation (and the city) that we stayed an extra day.

The hosts were so friendly and helpful. They organised a boat trip for us and helped us order taxis. They also gave us a list of things to do and restaurant recommendations. Breakfast each morning was delicious. The property was about 15mins walk to the main square and we felt very safe in the neighbourhood, it was also just a 4 minute walk to the bus station which was ideal
