“Magical and quiet”

Sam & Bernie are a lovely couple who have built a fantastic space on the shores of the lagoon. They welcomed us warmly and kindly gave us a room upgrade. The cabanas are peaceful, quiet and guests are completely immersed in the surrounding nature. All staff is talented and have care and consideration for all the minimal details, which contribute to making the stay a very special one.

The hotel is located a bit outside the town of Bacalar, but that didn’t bother us. It’s a wonderful corner of nature with very friendly staff. The cabin is stylish, with plenty of lounge areas and a lot of privacy. We stayed in January, so it was quite humid and cold to sleep at night. The lagoon water is stunning—clean, with a floating platform and a hammock in the water. Breakfast was excellent and delicious, and the dinner was also of very high quality. Although the price is high compared to the rest of the region, the romance makes it worth it 💙

It was so peaceful with so much wildlife to see. Rooms were lovely and the bed super comfortable. Loved the multi layered seating so you had a different outlook. Loved the veg tacos and the pork ones - food options were great. The gardens were also well cared for.

Beautiful setting to disconnect in the middle of nature, a short drive away from the town center. High attention to detail and luxurious feeling. The lagoon front is a paradisiac haven, pure privacy and nature.

When you arrive you get the feeling of arriving in a corner in the middle of the jungle. You are greeted by Fatima and her great Dane who is a real character. The rooms are very comfortable and although there is no air conditioning the The fan system works very well.
