“Peace and beauty in the mountains. lf you want to find a bit of peace after spending time in big cities this is the best”
We stayed at the villa which was our best experience in Japan. Traditional, beautiful, comfortable with a garden and private outdoor bath. It has everything you dream of if you love Japanese culture. Both onsen baths are amazing and they interchange during the day for women and men so you can experience both. The staff is absolutely lovely. Helped us with commute to and from the train station every day, prepared exceptional dinners and breakfast and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant.

“Amazing ryokan.”
Beautiful ryokan with an amazing onsen. The staff were super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. After 2.5 weeks in Japan this is definitely one of the best places we stayed at.

Hotakajo is a beautiful traditional Japanese hotel. The staff were very welcoming and provided amazing hospitality throughout our stay. We had half-board and the breakfasts and dinners were fantastic and beautifully presented.

“In the country a lovely Ryokan”
Crazy objects everywhere in the amazing villa in the countryside. Full Japanese dinner over 7!courses was lovely and fewer wine. Food room with great bathroom . Onsens where also lovely although no outside at this time.

“My favourite place in Japan”
It's a wonderful hotel with the most welcoming and helpful staff. We had a lovely stay and hope to come back some day in the future. The food is exceptional and the food alone is worth a stay at this hotel. There is a beautiful, wooden onsen with a great choice of cosmetics. The hotel itself is beautiful too and our room was very big and comfortable. Everything about our stay was relaxing. We made great memories in Azumino.

“Kon-chan”
They facility and grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The atmosphere is super relaxing and everyone is very friendly. The cat Kon-chan is also a great addition. Food and the drinks are also great. 10/10
