“Staying here for go up the Japan Alpine Route from Ogizawa.”

I like many things, 1. the pickup and drop off at the train station (as per the accommodation's terms and conditions) which adds value to the location. 2. Convenient to travel to Japan Alpine. 3.The politeness and friendliness of the host and family. 4. The food and drinks are local and very tasty. "Don't miss it". There are many tourist attractions in the nearby city area. You can go back and forth in 1 day by train. I recommend staying here for those who want to hike and go up the Japan Alpine Route from Ogizawa.

We had delicious homemade bread for breakfast one morning, the hosts are great and there is a really lovely kitchen and living room. Great views of the mountains and free bike rentals! One of the best places I have stayed in Japan definitely would stay again

“If its available book it!”

Lovely host and homely, very clean traditional Japanese house to stay. It is a bit far out but Taka-san will pick you up and drop you off at the Station if you ask. A very nice bicycle free to use to get about...to Wasabi farm, river, cycle paths etc. 7 eleven 1 km up the road , restaurant also on the nearby. Tea and coffee. Do try the homemade Plum liquor wine...delicious! Nice break from the city.

“Great place to stay to relax”

the host Nishida and his wife are warm welcoming and have such a great home. I really appreciated the pickup and shuttle service from and to the bus/ train station. I enjoyed the quietness of the place the free rental bike I took to explore the whole area including Wasabi farm. I also liked that the host Nishida offered a drop off and pick up to a super clean and cheap public bath I can really recommend. The 7-Eleven is walking distance and you can also purchase food and drinks at the guesthouse.

Staff were super hospitable and nice

If you want to be in a quiete remote place with a breathtaking view, just go there ! Very very clean, with a big kitchen, nice area to eat. The free bikes and lift from the station are pretty nice ! I met some other cool hikers there 🌼

“Stunning location, quiet, rural.”

It was a lovely accommodation. Everything was clean, there was good parking, I had a comfortable bed, there was a combini right down the road, they thought of everything… even some noodles you could heat up if you couldn’t get food in town.

very clean and comfortable house feel like home. very good for solo traveller. The host provide pick up service from the JR station! nice terrace with awsome view of the moutain landscape! Free bike for me cycling around. very chill.

Everything was great. The host is really attentive and helpful. Really comfortable, like staying at home. Free bicycle rental was a great extra I wasn't expecting.

Taka-san, the best host ever!! The house is super clean and comfy. The location and the window view of Japan Alps is so beautiful.

“This place feels like a big warm hug!”

Taka san & Sachi san are both the nicest people you will meet. Big smiles, warm and welcoming and they are all about making guests comfortable from the point of arrival, they will come get you at the train station and bring you into their home. I felt really nice and at home here, it was lovely. I asked about the instant curry, and they offered their homemade curry! It was so hearty and delicious, I was so happy. Everything is kept so clean. The dorm is spacious, the beds are very comfortable! I had such a good sleep, which was great because I had taken an overnight bus the night before and badly needed good sleep. Really nice and comfortable showers and toilets, with one toilet upstairs outside the dorm for easy access. Most important, a really beautiful view of the paddy fields from the common area & terrace. Taka san & Sachi san are so warm and genuine, I really want to go back! Oh and free bicycles too! Oh and they'll take you to the famous onsen in town too if you want.

“Wake up to a view of the Japanese alps”

Lovely, clean guesthouse in a beautiful part of the world. Perfect for anyone passing through. The owner was friendly and bent over backwards to help us out - even gave us an early morning lift to the station to help us on our journey!

“A very welcoming and practical house ready for an easy stay”

We loved our stay in the guesthouse. Everything was clean and it was easy to find information. we could use the kitchen which was really practical. Our host drove us to a nearby public bath, this was really nice and relaxing.
