Nestled in a small village in the Kambayashi area surrounded by mountains and a clear river, Satoyama Guest House Couture offers accommodation in Ayabe, the northern part of Kyoto Prefecture. I am still looking for the right words to describe what a great time we had here. We liked everything: the village, the rice paddies, the onsen, the food, and specially Yuki's family! I wish we could have stayed longer!

We went with my kids. The owners are very kind and they showed us the environtment, how to cook tradiinational food and the places we can go (onsen, home, river…)

I dont find ample words to describe this extraordinarily beautiful and scenic place of Ayabe...It is a must try for everyone whi is visiting Japan. Experience the leisure of Japanese cuisine and tradition in a very peaceful way along with the most humble and exceptional host Yuki..We were warmly welcomed by Yuki and family. We had a great unforgetable time with them..

The owners are very helpful. They recommended me many local tourist spots. They can also help to coordinate with local communities for different kinds of workshops. Really enjoy staying here
