The property had been beautifully decorated and was exceptionally clean. The location was also great a few minutes stroll from the centre of Ay. The on site parking was also very helpful. Brigitte was pleasant and had changed our room to better suit our family size on arrival which was helpful a travel cot had also been set up for our arrival which was very helpful as we arrived late after a long journey.

“Lovely and cozy place”

The lady who greeted us was extremely nice and friendly. The place is super cute, cozy and also very clean. It looks like it has been recently renovated but it keeps its ancient charm. We also loved the breakfast, aboundant and delicious. The location is perfect for a quite stroll through the vineyards.

The host was wonderful and went above expectation to welcome us and show us around. She spent time walking us around the area, explaining the history and story of Champagne. The information she gave us was invaluable. Such a beautiful person. Thank you Corinne. Our room was comfortable and adequate. but not large. The location was excellent. I was able to park inside and a lovely breakfast was provided.

If your visiting Bollinger the location is perfect. Otherwise AY is very basic as a stop over village with few places to eat or things to do. If I were to come again I’d stay in Epernay and taxi to Bollinger.

The location and access to secure parking is superb. I did an e-bike tour of the local vineyards which started close by. The local restaurants in particular, Henry viii, were superb.

“Disappointing”

View of a courtyard and gravel drive, no "garden view." Host in a rush and unhelpful. We were travelling with a child so didn't want to buy the bottle of champagne she offered for 25 euros but just wanted clear directions to a restaurant. Perhaps a comedy of errors and misunderstandings. Breakfast unexciting.

Lovely little corner of rural France. Very nicely decorated in keeping with this old property that was purchased my Mrs Bollinger a long time ago! Wonderful history.

Typically French - and utterly charming. Set in the heart of the champagne region, this beautiful home stay was once available to nuns who established a school, daycare and dispensary there. The host was clearly very proud of the dwelling, and keen to expectation its history to us. We were able to park in the inner courtyard. And everything in the town was within walking distance. The ‘History Of Champagne’ tour & tasting was incredibly interesting and well worth a visit.
