It’s a beautiful property and very well maintained. I particularly liked the personal touch, I got a call from Gaelle whilst we were en route, and we met her at breakfast. The garage, which is near by, is secure and covered which was a delight too. Thank you!

The staff at the hotel are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. It’s not too far off the autoroute and Epernay is only a 5 minute drive.

Castel Jeanson is an attractively renovated 19th century property. Our bedroom was spacious with an excellent shower. Good choice at breakfast. I’ll admit that I’d initially dismissed the hotel because some of the photos made it look rather outdated but our room and bathroom had certainly been - sympathetically - updated fairly recently. There are a number of restaurants within easy walking distance and we appreciated the secure parking. And if you time your arrival or departure better than we did, there are also several champagne houses only a few metres away.

The welcome and assistance on arrival were superb arriving on a Monday meant nothing locally was available without pre-booking and the manager sorted us out for restaurant and transport. The price for the location was good and the accommodation lovely. The private parking very much appreciated in a quiet location. Fantastic courtyard at the back to sip champagne!!

Beautiful old building. Large and comfortable room. Great taste in decor. Wonderful art deco stained glass. So interesting to stay in this beautiful old town while the grape harvest was going on
