“Fantastic Stay”

Everything about Ay Central was to love. After traveling for the past 4 months through 9 different countries I would say that Ay Central was without doubt one of the very best accommodations I have stayed in. The apartment is very spacious with lovely designer touches. The apartment has a great kitchen with new appliances, a full sized oven, a large fridge and washing machine. The apartment was immaculately clean. The beds and bedding were so comfortable as well. The TV had multiple stations in many different languages which was a huge plus. The wifi was fast and stable. And the location opposite Ay Hotel de Ville is absolutely perfect. I loved staying in Ay Central and would love to go back. Thank you for a great stay.

Fantastic apartment, beautifully decorated with a lovely comfortable bed. we loved our time there, exploring the region and wish we could have stayed longer. Patisserie across the road, convenience store less than a minute’s walk, restaurants within easy walking distance and a great base for a driving tour of the entire Champagne region. Highly recommended!

The apartment was very clean and cosy with all necessary amenities. Everything appeared to be brand new. Cédric, the friendly owner, gave us information on local activities and even provided a bottle of Champagne. The kitchen had all it needed and was well stocked. We loved the location in the center of Ay in the center of Champagne country with two bakeries and some eateries right there. We highly recommend this comfortable place.

“Perfection in Ay”

Where do I start? Location The property is located in the very centre of Ay, as the name would suggest, and it would be difficult to find anywhere more central or easily accessible. Parking is free and safe, and only a couple of paces from the property, making it ideal for carrying bags of shopping (we’ll get to that part), or exploring the region’s vineyards by car. The train station is only a leisurely ten minute walk away, too, with a regular service to both Reims and Epernay There’s a boulangerie just across the square that never seems to close, where you can buy the best fresh bread (I’d recommend it with the apricot jam), and they make some very tasty pastries for breakfast. There’s also a small convenience store a couple of shops down, and a champagne boutique and bar in the square. Property The apartment couldn’t be better. Very well maintained, well decorated, very clean, and it has all of the features you would need to be very comfortable for even the longest stay. It’s obvious that a lot of effort and care has gone into making it a home away from home. Despite the central location, it’s very quiet, and remarkably peaceful. Even in late February, I was able to sit in the sun streaming in through the windows and enjoy reading without distraction. Things to do If you’re travelling to Ay, there’s a good chance that you have a taste for the bubbles, and with 35 champagne houses, including some very big and very old names in the business, all within a few minutes walk of the property, you’re in for a treat! Plenty of shopping and tasting opportunities, and I’d recommend the local Ratafia Champenois if you haven’t tried it. There’s a ‘champagne trail’ around the local area, if you fancy a drive, which will take you through the picturesque villages and beautiful rolling hills of endless vineyards. It’s worth the drive just to take in what the area is and does.

Cedric was an excellent host and made sure we were all happy during the stay with lots of hints and tips about the area. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and stylishly decorated, located very well in the centre of town next to a fantastic bakery, butchers and a champagne bar. The on street parking was fine for both our cars and was in walking distance from some excellent champagne houses and vinyards (both big and small) (special mention to Grilliat Alain which we enjoyed a lot!) I couldn’t recommend Cedric’s place enough if you want a comfortable relaxed stay in a beautiful area to sample some of the big Epernay and smaller Ay Champagne houses.
