It is exactly the experience that is promised, it is a nice room in the ramparts around an old Saxon church. Out of season, it was very quiet, and everything was great. The room was clean and nicely set, the bathroom was working fine, and the shared summer kitchen had everything we needed. It is a nice place to visit the wider area, people are very friendly, as the whole place breathes with history. It is located centrally and there are several small shops in the vicinity and some more in Copsa Mica. It is definitely worth the experience.

Beautiful place, cozy and unique accommodation! A very good idea to use the fortified church and surroundings! The room was spacious, very tall. Perfect stay for one night. Everything was clean, comfortable. Judging by the whole context and price, i think everything is ok! There is a hammock outside and a cute cat and the church is nicely illuminated at night.

The place is the same with the pictures. The church and the museum are wonderful. It is a place rich in history. We enjoyed a glass of wine in the inner courtyard. The beds were comfy, hot water was running, heating working properly and the supermarket was near. There were bunnies on the property and a dog. They are a plus when you travel with a kid.

-absolutely unique location and experience, to spend the night in a medieval fortification -large room and bathroom, lots of space to spread out, nothing fancy but you have everything you need available and in working condition -beautiful courtyard, green, with trees and flowers, perfect to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening -plenty of parking on paved road, no access issues whatsoever -free, unlimited access to the church, clock-tower and a small museum attached

It is a nice place to spend a few days, while you explore the surrondings. Be aware of the fact that it is a medieval fortified church and that you will live inside the walls, thus all facilities are rustic-medieval. However, you will find everyting you might need, in a unique and historically marked place. The rooms are spacious, confortale, dry and warm. The place is quiet, safe, has a generous and well maintained yard (anyway it cannot be crowded since there are only 6 rooms within the walls), a little museum, a fabulous tower and tower clock. On Sundays you can attend the religious service. There are planty of parking lots arround. In the morning you can enjoy your coffee and tea outside, or in the evening your glass of wine. There is a well catered shop exactly across the entrance to the fortress, another one within 3-5 min of walk, a supermarket and a gas station within 2-3 km. The kitchen is equiped with everything you need, thus don't let self-catering scare you off. You can also order food from a restaurant 10 min away. The young man looking after the guests, Ladislau, is courteous and willing to help out with everything. In the kitchen there were good and detailed maps of the region to take away. In one sentence: great value for money in a unique place.
