Overview
Amid its magnificent garden with koi-pond, Japanese-style hotel Haiya features hot spring baths, Japanese stone saunas and karaoke rooms. Guests at Haiya can slowly unwind in spacious public hot spring baths, indoors or outdoors, or rent a barrier-free private bath with a sauna and additional open-air hot spring. Rooms come with a tatami (woven mat) floor, traditional futon bedding and sliding shoji paper screens leading to a seating area. This authentic Japanese-style hotel serves a Japanese breakfast and a traditional multi-course dinner with seasonal local specialities. Meals are served in the guest room, or in a private dining room. Haiya is a 15-minute drive from both JR Awara Onsen Station and the Echizen Matsushima Aquarium. It's a 25-minute drive from Lake Kitagata.
