GRAND NIKKO AWAJI is located across Akashi Strait Bridge, a 15-minute drive from JR Maiko Station. Loved this hotel! It’s quite big surrounded by beautiful gardens for walks. We were there for Tadao Andus architecture so we didn’t leave!!

“Nice stay,but too expensive if you choose it for the pool!”
The rooms were very spacious with a nice terrace (only time in Japan we had an outside area). Amenities in the room and breakfast was good.

“Wonderful architectural experience”
The accomodation within the complex was wonderful, especially exploring the grounds with minimal crowds in the morning. The breakfast was outstanding with assortment of delicious local produce to sample. Staff were extremely helpful with any queries we had and the later check out was appreciated.

The hotel was truly luxurious and spacious, offering a comfortable and elegant environment throughout our stay. Both the dinner and breakfast buffet were absolutely delicious, featuring a variety of dishes made with fresh local produce that showcased the region's culinary excellence. “Wonderful hotel with seaview”
The views were perfect and the compound was really large and nice. The bed was very comfy and we chose the king size bed room configuration and we woke up to a beautiful sunrise scene.

“Fans of Tadao Ando's work will love staying here, plus the views and breakfast are wonderful!”
We chose this hotel because it is part of the the expansive Awaji Yumebutai gardens and architectural masterpieces designed by Tadao Ando. It was amazing to walk around the grounds and see the open air theater, gardens, sculptures, and more. Loved the breakfast buffet, too! Beautiful views from every room.
