Overview
Located in Avlemonas and only 600 metres from Paleopoli Beach, Villa Venus provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. There is a private entrance at the country house for the convenience of those who stay. Each room has a balcony with views of the mountain. Fitted with a terrace, the units offer air conditioning and feature a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with bath and a hair dryer. All units are equipped with a coffee machine, while selected rooms are fitted with a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and a toaster. At the country house, all units come with bed linen and towels. Guests at the country house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Avlemonas, like walking tours. The country house has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. Loutro tis Afroditis is 2.3 km from Villa Venus, while Monastery of Panagia Myrtidiotissa is 18 km away. We spent wonderful days in Kythira. The apartment is surrounded by gardens and has a beautiful view on the landscape and the sea. We enjoyed the calm of this unique place.

Excellent place for a family of 4 Close to Avlemona 6 minute drive It’s hard to find at first, don’t miss the dirt road. Once you find the villa you will love the manicured gardens and view.

A fantastic apartment with a lot of space. The apartment is clean and has everything you need. The furniture is very comfortable. The apartment is on a kind of estate with beautiful gardens. The view from the terrace was amazing. One of the best apartments I have ever stayed at. Only superlatives for Villa Venus! As for the surroundings, it's quite near Avlemonas, a beautifully designed village.

Villa Venus is a ground floor apartment adjacent to a lovely established garden and olive orchard with great views down to the beach. The apartment which isn't huge was just perfect to two people, offering a comfortable indoor seating area with modern kitchen and well appointed bathroom. The bedroom was large, with large louvered windows opening to a covered deck where we spent most of our time. Andreas our host was very accomodating, he joined us on our first night and left us well versed with things to do, see and eat in Kythira. Villa Venus is a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive down to Paleopoli beach which is a long white fine pebble beach. 5 minutes along the coast is Avlemonas Village with great food and drink options and many small swimming platforms allowing access to the harbours clear water. Kythira was the highlight of our Greece trip. The many villages, the great walking trails, the size of the island, nothing was more than 20 minutes away from Villa Venus remain in our memory. Not forgetting Kaladi Beach our vote for best beach in Greece. Cheers Andreas all the best and thank you for letting us stay, we hope Kythira remains a hidden gem.

The setting was beautiful with a view of the sea from the patio. The room was very comfortable, with a small kitchenette which catered for most needs. The fridge had a small freezer section too. There is on-site parking. The host, Andreas, was very helpful. He had prepared a map with notes and recommended places to visit, and was also very communicative while not being intrusive. Located near to a number of beaches and the town of Avlemonas which was wonderful. Most beaches have umbrellas and loungers to hire with some free if you use the cafe. It is also close to the ferry wharf so convenient for when we left.

“Absolutely brilliant stay in a gorgeous bungalow with an ocean view on a quiet side of Kythira. Highly recommend!”
We absolutely love our stay in the Coop! It’s the perfect amount of space for two people. It has a very comfortable bed, a shower with brilliant water pressure, and a living room/kitchenette area that feels spacious and overlooks the ocean. The outdoor patio is brilliant as well, and we enjoyed drinking our coffee there each morning. It is best to have a car, as it’s about a mile and a half outside of Avlemonas, the nearest village with restaurants and shops, but you can walk down in about 30 minutes if you’d like to. Andreas was an incredibly kind and responsive host, and we hope to return!

Exceptional! Very charming. Absolute calm in a green setting with a magnificent sea view from the studio and its beautiful shaded terrace. Friendly owner. Very well maintained. Cleaning done regularly. We plan to go back there as soon as possible.
