Property is in a great location about 10mins from airport, there is a restaurant next door, you can swim and snorkel right off the beach. The unit is a good size has everything you need, comfy bed, kitchenette, shower, and washing machine for convenience. There is no air conditioning, however this is not needed as there are fans and a lovely breeze. Corner store and bakery 10 mins walk. Local bus is available right out the front just flag the bus down it will stop $5 flat rate for the bus cash only. (Island time timetable is a guide only) Hire a car if you are there more than a few days as this would be cheaper than a taxi.

Very well situated. A long walk into town (Avarua) but not difficult. Two convenience stores not far. Right next door to Tamarind House, excellent restaurant and bar. Great facilities: all you need in the kitchen plus a washing machine. Loads of towels.

The location, beach and space were all excellent. There was no one in the house, so it was very private. We loved having a washing machine. The bed was very comfortable and there was good storage for our things. We also loved being next to the Ukulele bar and getting a discount at La Casita.

Our stay at Are Tamareni was an absolute 10/10. The location was perfect - close to town yet peaceful enough to feel like our own private escape. The villa had everything we needed, and being right on the beachfront made it even more special, with stunning views and the sound of the ocean right outside. A special mention to Mama Sue, the owner, who took the time to visit us during our stay. She was absolutely wonderful - warm, kind, and truly a gem on the island. The team also went out of their way to accommodate our request for an early check-in, which made such a difference after our early morning flight from Sydney. The restaurant next door was another highlight - by far the best on the island. From start to finish, our experience at Are Tamareni was relaxing, comfortable, and memorable. We are already looking forward to our next stay.

We thought the house was in an excellent location. We were lucky enough to see whales from the outdoor deck. Sue is an incredible hostess and the island is paradise. Everything was excellent

Simple, self-contained unit, with absolutely everything you need for your stay. I was really impressed by all that was provided: multiple towels, toiletries, kitchenware…Nice and relaxing outdoor area from where you can see and the ocean and whales cruising by. Owners are really nice and helpful. Great location. Great pricing too! Definitely recommend.

Beautiful views. Open and spacious. No schedule , no fuss, and certainly very private. It was like being ‘home away from home’.
