“The Austin Motel is an institution worth keeping”

The pool is where it’s at! It has a great vibe, and overall I absolutely loved the retro look and feel of the hotel. While it doesn’t have all the mod cons of a modern hotel, I’m genuinely glad a place like this still exists. You can really see how much Austin Motel understands, loves and celebrates retro style. Having a bath in the room was a total bonus, and the water pressure was excellent. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The location is excellent, and having Joann’s downstairs was a bonus, especially for easy tacos by the pool. There was also a fabulous night with old cars, which suited the motel perfectly. I met some fantastic people at the pool, the tunes were always on point, and there was loads of sun by the pool right up until sunset. Great management, too.

Cute hotel/motel in a very good location on S Congress Ave, with access to many shops and restaurants. And free parking! Nice pool as well. Room was well equipped and organized.

The motel is very nice and cute. Even the simple rooms were super fine and clean. It is in a great location, best in town, with plenty of shops and places to eat and drinks best by. Stuff is very friendly and the all check in and check out process was very easy! Strongly recommended

This is my favourite hotel I’ve ever stayed at! The whole vibe is amazing. It’s colourful, full of character and the staff are super lovely. Location is perfect for walking around shops, great food and drinks nearby. I loved it so much I extended my stay twice, book book book!

Right, so we just got back from a cracking stay at the Austin Motel, and honestly, it was an absolute delight. As a family, we're always on the hunt for places with a bit of character, and this spot absolutely delivered. First off, its retro-chic vibe is just super charming. You really do feel like you've zipped back to the '80s, but in the best possible way. It's a proper escape from the usual humdrum of modern city life, despite being right in the thick of things. Location-wise, it's brilliant – really close to the city centre and nestled in a rather trendy part of town. Plus, and this is always a win for families, they offer free parking, which is a definite bonus. The staff couldn't have been friendlier, and we were quite impressed with their rather clever messaging system before and after check-in; it made everything super smooth. One of the highlights for us was stumbling upon their full moon pool party. What a laugh! The kids (and us, to be fair) had an absolute blast splashing about. And for the most important bit, especially after a busy day of exploring: the beds were incredibly comfortable. We were in a building out back, and it was wonderfully quiet, ensuring a truly relaxing night's sleep for everyone. All in all, the Austin Motel is a unique little find, and we'd genuinely recommend it for families looking for something a bit different.

Great motel in an excellent location. Very quiet and the pool is a real bonus. Lovely to be able to swim and relax after sightseeing or an evening out at a music venue. Staff were very helpful and quick to solve any potential issues or requests.
