We liked the ambience . It is a nice place to hangout with friends.

The most responsive people and hostel owners I have encountered so far. Due to the heat or other reasons I felt ill one day which led me to the hospital, the guys took care of dropping me off and stayed with me till the end, canceling all their plans until I was discharged from the hospital. Apart from that , from the first moment you enter the hostel, you will feel the hospitality and a sense of comfort.

Would not recommend it for solo women travelers at all. The place was full of high guests. I was greeted by a volunteer who was high and the place was swarming with boys smoking up in the open. I called the manager multiple times but she didn't pick up. Had to check out the same day itself as it felt very unsafe. The management was very unhelpful and would not refund the full amount even though I followed up patiently for a week. My friend who came to pick me up was asked for w**d by the boys. Washrooms are bad and there is no lock on the door. Extremely poor management and service.

I believe this might be offseason yet i had a great experience stay was amazing , i had booked 7 in one dorm since nobody was there in the end we got a private stay at just 500 for both of us best experience must checkout

Location is good, the staff was friendly .. don't know about safety as I didn't stay here( I booked another hostel ), maybe this works out for nature lovers who could compromise on cleanliness and comfort

“Best Hostel in Auroville”

Great room, great mood. I never felt at home like at Time Travellers hostel, thanks to the staff, the volunteers and the many backpackers staying here. The bonfire is a must every night! Ah, it's right in front of Auroville's main gate.

The atmosphere is amazing, very near to visitor centre of Auroville, best part is budget friendly place for any solo traveller, people are friendly here.

Better place in pondi to stay ❤

“The gateway of minimalism”

The place is managed by volunteers who are really helping. Akka who comes to clean the place has a very sweet smile she is very friendly, she herself came and helped my partner to wear saree properly despite of language barrier.
